Also the battery runs out really quick. when I turn it off and turn it back on a second later it has half the battery life it had before. when I reboot it after it dies, (even if the battery isn't low) it gets all funky and wont turn on right. it doesnt charge regularly. it takes forever and then runs out quickly.
SOURCE: HTC Touch Pro totally dead?!?!
Dear Muppets.
Does no one of you realize that when a phone or some other electrical equipment has serious malfunctions it is often more then just hard reset or softreset.
I have an HTC touch until one day I am sure I dropped it on the floor
Then woowwwww all of a sudden it started acting up.
Be honest.
These are very delicate phones and not bricks.
They are not as simple or reliable as a basic phone due to the fact that they have complicated systems like Windows.
Aynone ever heard of Windows crashing a PC.
Woowww you sound surprised.
I cna easily make a lot of money making somthing that looks fancy but that works like ****.
Think of some ideas.
Windows, HTC phones or similar. Any modern equipment made in China
This dont understand why a phone whic cost tihs much money can't bemade reliable.
Well come to think of it
Selling 1 million+ of them at a few hundred dollars each gives me an idea.
PROFIT ABOVE QUALITY.
And still you fools fall for it.
Yes the phones looks cool.
Any idea why DELL have been so big for so long.
They produce PC's and laptops that still work reliably after 5 years.
I am typing this on a Dell 8600 my business work horse
I use it for webdesign, VB programming, hardware testing
And trow it in my back everyday and in the boot of my car when I don't need it.
And it has never yes NEVER given me idea trouble.
I have tried a few other laptops
FUJITSU SIEMENS TABLE PC
Worked for 3 months then turned off and never came back on
guess what happend to it
It sold it for parts for 100 Euro
Also tried a brand new ACER.
Send it back to supplier as it kept turning of while doing remote access work.
If it aint broke dont fix it.
If it is .................. BIN
Look at hte amount of hours and time you have already spend on trying to figure out why your phone does not come on or work properly.
You would have had a lot more fun with your new Nokia by now
I personally would recommend LG Touch phones.
I now a 19 year old who had it and he threw it all over te place.
NEVER a problem with it and working like new.
Well if you know that LG are working with PHILIPS then you know why they are so reliable.
QUALITY above PROFIT.
and then still plenty of profit to make good money doohh

Mine turns on when I plug the charger into it. Have you tried that?

Go to teh phone settings, and under sync accounts disable all teh sync accounts that you are not using such as stocks etc. These constantly use up data and hence drains your battery as they do so in teh background. This should greatly improve your battery. If not, your battery must eb damaged and i woudl suggest you purchase an extended battery which may have up to 40% more battery life.
SOURCE: Why does my phone loose battery power so quickly?
Android phones usually have a lot of junk running in the background. HTC is no exception. You can go into your settings, applications, and kill off some of the ones you don't want running. Some of them you can uninstall too. Check your other settings for the display to make sure it is shutting off after a short time. This should help some, but you should have longer battery life than a 1/2 hour. Look into a "new" battery or an extended battery. This is a longer life battery you can get on ebay or other sites. Make sure you get one that comes with a new back cover to fit over the larger battery. If none of this helps, you might have an issue with the phone & I would consider checking with your carrier for a replacement.
