Delonghi DM10 low temp light flashing continuously.

This unit is about 3 years old and the low temp light would come on despite the temperature in the room being high. I could live with that as I just needed to switch it off and on again but now this light has started flashing continually whilst the unit is operating and I cannot get it to stop. There is nothing in the manual about it flashing!

It sounds like your unit is freezing up. Let it set for a day then set to run on the 3 hr cycle. Also rase the % of humidity to 60 or 65, and if it starts working lower the % setting in a few days by 5% increments until you get to the setting you want. Also read your owners manual troubleshooting section lots of good tips.

Coolant system warranty is usually more than 1 year- check your warranty.

If the humidity level is at or lower than 30%, the unit won't turn ON, until the reaches 35 - 40%. It's rare for the sensors to go bad. Just keep in mind, the dehumidifier is reading the humidity near the floor, not up at say, chest level. Humidity levels change every season, so this really would not be that unusual. Make sure that your clean the air intake filter regularly. Cleaning and wiping down the coolant coils would be a good idea, too..

The problem lies in the way the bucket is reinstalled or the float valve (if yours is so equipped) is stuck in the UP position.

Remove the bucket for it's holder and check for the float valve. If it is stuck in the up position, jiggle the arm to make it return to the down position. Be fore you reinstall the bucket, look at the back wall of the bucket holder. There you will see a trigger switch. It's the bucket safety removal switch. Check it to make sure it's still intact. At 10 years old it may have broken OFF. If it appears to be be intact, install the bucket "squarely" into the bucket holder from top to bottom. Being sure that it makes firm contact with the bucket safety removal switch. When installed correctly, the bottom of the bucket will not tilt down at all.

Also, check the air intake filter as it may be dirty of clogged.

The dehumidifier can run all day and will not collect water in the bucket. I have set i according to directions.

Joanne, There are 5 basic, yet solvable reasons for what you described. Please pay particular attention to numbers 1 & 2.

1. The humidity extraction level is set to HIGH. Lower it to 32-35%.

2. Air intake filter is dirty or clogged. Turn unit OFF, & Unplug the
Unit, before removing to inspect & clean it, if necessary. If washed,
allow filter to completely dry before reinstalling. DO NOT operate
the unit without the filter.

3. Obstructed air flow. Maintain a minimum of 12 to 18" of clear air
space around the entire unit.

4. Cooling coils are dirty and need to be cleaned. Use warm water & dish washing liquid to
clean the coils. Rinse and wipe dry. Apply a light coating of WD40 to the coils.

5. Ambient air temperature at floor level is between 40 - 60 degrees.
dehumidifiers do not work well between those temperatures
(Unless, you have a Low Temp Unit). This applies mainly to
where the air temperature at floor level is colder than at shoulder level
in basement applications. Raising the unit up off the floor,
onto a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight
of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will usually resolve this
problem.

If none of the above solves the problem, it may be a case of the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant gas or that the humidity condenser sensor has failed. These things usually occur in units that are 5 years old or older. It's rare in a unit younger than that. But, it can happen.

We have a LG dehumidefier and it runs well but NO water collects in bucket even when set to low humidity and is 1 foot away from the wall.Screen is clean. Please help SW

Since you have eliminated 3 of the basic reasons , which can cause the problem you're having, I just ficus on 2 of them.

dehumidifiers do not work well between those temperatures
(Unless, you have a Low Temp Unit*). This applies mainly to
where the air temperature at floor level is colder than at shoulder level
in basement applications . Raising the unit up off the floor,
onto a sturdy table, counter top, etc, that can handle the weight
of the unit, plus a full tank of water, will usually resolve this
problem.

* Your model is not a low temp unit.

If none of the above solves the problem, it may be a case of the compressor needs to be recharged with refrigerant gas or that the humidity condenser sensor has failed. These things usually occur in units that are 5 years old or older. It's rare in a unit younger than that. But, it can happen.

I have a Delonghi DH250R dehumidifier.It make a clicking noise every now and then when it is turned on. Is it that the thermostat trying to kick in to start the compressor ? And the dehumidifier is not...

I am not getting any water in the collection tank. I cleaned the filter and reset the controls. Humidity in basement is 65% and I set the control to 50 %. Any suggestions? Thanks.
