My print server can't detect the printer. I have correctly setup the print server because it can be detected by all systems on the network. The ip's are setup properly because i can ping the print server using comand prompt. All drivers are installed and up to date. I even tried the manufacturer's recommended steps to setup the printer with LPR, again the print server is properly setup but nothing ever gets to the printer.
I sent en email to the manufacturer in hopes they could shed some light, all they suggested was steps from their FAQ an that my Konica Printers are known not to be compatible with their product. My printer is neither on the imcompatible or compatible list of printers. So has anyone gotten a simmilar printer to work or can offer me any suggestions.

I have simular problem with Vista 64bit OS it recognize the printer but says it´s not a Vista compatible driver, and apparently Konica Minilta got no Vista support for the 2400w colourlaser printer. It seems the don´t bother if you are stucked with a driver/use-less printer.
Its very likely the last time I would buy a produkt from this company.
my print server wont detect my epson c44ux =( the usb wont light up
i also sent a message to the manufacturer for my epson but i havent received a reply yet. if i cant get support i'm returning this damn product!
I found it was a matter of perseverence. Change your usb points, and at the last resort get the cord from your old printer and use this type of connection. Go slowly thorugh the disc step by step and make sure you delete any previous installations of the print file in the control panel.
I have given up this product... I have found a solution to my problem using a different product that also doubles as a NAS (Network Attached Storage) from Synology. It specifically lists my printer as compatible.
The cable is fine, I even had spare USB-A to USB-B cables to test make sure it wasn't a hardware problem. I followed every step carefully and deleted the printer from the control panel as well as any printer configuration files left over from the installation.
I thank you for your effort but I had already tried everything you mentioned.
My suggestion is to everyone out there, although it is to late for some of us... is to stick with name brands for niche products such as print servers and not steer twords the unknow brand bargains... you might end up regretting it...
