I have never had this problem, but what I am thinking it could be is all of the primary colors that are used have gone out besides the red color. It might not be in the graphics card but something in the screen that has gone wrong, you might need to go into the computer and reset some like the color balance. That is a very weird problem, sorry for your trouble, I hope I helped in some way.

is all the screen the same colour or is it patchy. It could be the degausing cerquet (if patchy). Or maybe just to be degaused with a degausing coil.

Is your tv a plasma tv or an lcd tv? When you say shadow, do yo mean a band across or down the screen, or is it a patchy shadow?

it will yes. I know with fusers and xerox you can usually reset the fuser. When servicing the machine the techy will do this for you:)

Hi, you either have a bad Y board or it may actually be adjustable.
Adjusting it would involve opening the back, Most Philips plasma sets use torx 10 screws and a few other sizes on the larger wall mount screws, You will have to lay the set face down on a soft quilt or cushions. Depending on the model some may require a few layers of back be removed. the model with the rear lights is one that requires major disassembly to get access to the Y board. The adjustments are on the Y board left side facing the back , A few tiny controls using a small philips with the TV on, good signal mark the controls position with a sharpy then while watching the picture turn slowly till the picture clears up finding a center postion with the least amount of spots and patches. If unable to adjust it you have either a bad Y board or bad panel (screen) .

Its possible that the speed of the color wheel motor is starting to drift from the normal range. Its also possible that the DMD board or digital P.C.B. are the culprit.

Contact an authorized Samsung service center, ask them to try to reset the wheel speed using the index delay parameter in the service menu.

They should be able to eliminate the problem or at least identify it as a bad color wheel or otherwise.
