I think you have a tank that is calcified and is not getting enough heat to the water assuming there is enough water in it. If it was blocked it would either cause the relief valve to vent or explode.
I would start by cleaning it, my best guess would be to run a few cycles with vinegar in it. This is a mild acid that will dissolve the calcium deposits. Try maybe a 50%-50% with vinegar and water.
Be sure the vinegar will not damage the unit, I do not know.
By the look of things its no longer covered by Shark-Euro-Pro (typical) http://www.sharkclean.com/cgi-bin/livew/site.w?location=mcopy.w&mcopy=manuals&frames=no&target=main&sponsor=000001&lang=en-US i know this is not a fix for you but i shall keep a look out for a manual.

the problem of your iron could be from the element and the wire ,the element is the heat provider while the wire is the power supply from the electric
But the fact is that ,the problem of your iron is disconnection of element from the wire what you need to do fix it to unscrew your iron and trace the wire down to the element and see the disconnection am toking about and fix it back
I don't know if you have the number for the euro pro customer service department; but, I had the same problem, called customer service, and had a manual emailed to me. The manual came within a couple of hours via email. In case you don't have the number and still need a manual for your unit, try calling 800.798.7398. I hope this helps and good luck!
found out that i have the same problem and i traced it back to what looks like a diode. it screwed to the bottom of the heating chamber inside shrink wrap. does anyone know exatly what that is... is it a diose or cap.. p# d181zoxu...
