Material won't move? How to adjust feed dog if that is the problem

Is the feed dog raised into sewing position and not dropped as for darning? Feed dogs need to be in the raised position in order to pull the fabric through the machine.

If the stitch length is set too short, it will cause the fabric to barely move thereby causing the machine to stitch in one place.

Raise your presser foot and gently rotate the handwheel and watch the feed dogs. Do they rise when coming to the front of the machine, move toward the back of the machine, drop down below the needle plate, and move forward to the front of the machine again? If so, the feed dogs are working properly.

If the feed dogs never rise, they are in the dropped position for darning or free motion quilting when you would move the fabric manually.

If, on the other hand, the feed dogs do not move at all, then they are seized and you should probably get your machine serviced.

My casket where the bobber sets is loose and comes out. When I try to place the basket where the bobber sits it is too high and the lver will not close. Is that part broken or how do I put it in properly?...

I have a similar Singer with a drop-in bobbin and there is a little trick to getting the bobbin holder in correctly. When you put it in push it forward (under the feed dogs) then pull it back (toward you) before you release the spring that holds it in. Test it to make sure it doesn't come out then insert your bobbin per your user manual.

I I have a Singer Confidence Stylist 7467S. Used the walking foot ONCE went to using the nomal stitching foot and now the pressure foot doesn't sit firmly on the fabric. It is as if the feed dogs

the best idea is to have the machine serviced, that way the feed dogs can be checked to see if there is something wrong with the feed dog switch or the feed dogs them selves

I have a red light on the fourth player spot

Remove all the cables (composite/component, power, you know, anything that plugs into the console) and let it sit for a minute or so. Plug everything back in. If it still doesn't work, remove the hard drive and attempt to start the xbox. If it works, the problem is with your hard drive. If it doesn't work, the problem is with the xbox itself. Regardless, you'll have to contact xbox customer support to fix either of these problems.

Model 385-15343600 Serial 71073690 The stitches are very, very small all the time regardless which of the tension used (bobbin and needle).

The stitch length dial needs to be set to a lower number (number of stitches per inch) to give you longer stitches. The tensions do not regulate the stitch length, the feed dogs regulate the distance the material is advanced between stitches. Also, make sure the pressure foot is applying enough pressure to keep the material in firm enough contact with the feed dogs.

Stitch lendth isnt working, all the stitch lengths come out the same regardless of the setting

Are you sure that the feed dogs have not been dropped to enable embroidery, and not returned to the normal sew position, consult the handbook for instructions.

If the darn setting is selected the feed dogs will not rise, someone has probably inadvertantly selected darn.
