SOURCE: Plays Records Too Fast

If it is a belt drive model it might be that the belt is out of place and therefore causing the speed to be wrong. This might be due to age or wear of the belt. I would look at that before adjusting.
If it is good and you can't see any mechanical fault causing it. Then look for a preset pot (or two) on either the pc board or on the motor itself. They will adjust the speed. If you find two - one will be for 45 they other 33.
Bear in mind the motor might have gone wrong!

Pitch is off--too slow before, now too fast.

The speed is set by a synchronous motor that drives the turn table. There may be a small adjustable resistor (pot) that will do the trick.

When playing a record the needle gets stuck at the same place, near the end f the record evevry time. Does not matter what record. Happens with all of them.

I don't know the AT PL50 but I had a similar problem with another make of turntable.
The problem was caused by the rear end of the pick-up arm hitting the side of the perspex cover. The solution was a simple one - leave the lid in the raised position or lift the cover right off when playing records.

My audio-technica PL50 plays 45s at the wrong speed.

believe it or not not it probably doesn`t even play your lp`s at the right speed? Its probably because your drive belt has actually stretched? rubber belts do wear and maybe seek out a replacement drive belt?

try this company?

Sound very distorted

This turntable has a preamp switch on it, which is probably on and what is causing the distortion. Take off the metal record platter by lifting up on the two holes gently. Turn the pre-amp switch to 'off' and then try it again. This is probably it...

Or you can plug it into an input that doesn't have a preamp and that should work.
