If nothing is wrong with the camera, the battery is placed correctly, the battery cover is closed correctly then only one thing can be wrong. Even when you don't believe it is possible, the battery can be flat again.
So to make sure everything is as you think. Charge the battery again, and look if the charger acts as usually. The charging lamp turns orange and charging begins. When the charging is finished, the lamp turns green. Last time you charged, it could have taken 4 hours, before the lamp went green. If the battery is recently charged, it only will take a fraction of that time. If it still takes a long time, your battery was empty. It is recommended, to charge not longer than for 24 hours. After charging, please wait till the battery is cooled down. Then insert it again and close the battery cover. Check the cover closes correctly. And now switch on again.
If you charged with an USB cambs connected to the camera. Don't forget to remove the cable, because the camera won't start as long as an USB cable is connected.

SOURCE: canon powershot g5 - battery charge

Take out the battery and put it back and than recharge again. Some times in case of G5 it happens that the camera battery is not properly charged and the indicator shows that its fully charged (i.e. Green light) In such cases battery need to be taken out and than put back again and recharged

SOURCE: Canon Powershot SX110is: problem with the batteries

Make sure you are using Lithium batteries. Alkaline batteries will go dead immediately in this camera. I've tried it.

SOURCE: canon sd870 says "change battery pack" even though

My IXUS 860 IS behaves the same. I found that if you start it in replay mode and then half press the shutter button it generally starts up OK.

SOURCE: Canon PowerShot G9 stopped working

A common problem on the G9 is they get a loose screw inside and often it renders the camera useless with no power after that common short. There's a site you can get these fixed very reasonably and they include the correction to those internal screws so it won't keep happening. The site is: www.camerasandparts.com The do superb work on the canons for about half of what canon wants to fix these cameras. Good luck with the problem on yours.

On?Off switch failure

Not sure the A3300 has two AA sized batteries, but if it had:
Sure your batteries are still tip top?
Try two new AA sized NiMH rechargeable batteries or if you have some new alkaline batteries, put them in. the alkaline batteries won't last long, but it it could hint if the camera is still working and worth buying new rechargeables.
AA manganese (Zinc-Carbon) batteries cannot be used with this camera.
But even if it has one battery, check the battery.
Read other parts about batteries, in other help text I wrote for other users.

I have a Canon PowerShot A530 camera which is around 4 years old. till recently it was working great but from last 3 months, it is giving false indication of low batteries and shuts down. Even after full...

if you are using this camera for 4 yrs with the same lithium battery then you might need to try a new battery
any lithium battery cell's capacity diminishes after long use. it reduces the cell's ability to deliver current. the older batteries do not charge as much as new one.
when you charge your battery it irreversibly loses approximately 20% capacity per year.
hope this help

Camera Not Coming on - Hung up

Usually the problem with this camera is the shutter won't open. I suppose it's good to be different :-) It sounds like it could be your batteries. If they are Alkaline chuck them and get NIMH the higher the mah the better. I use 2500mah and they last for a fair while. If you're using Nicads maybe they've developed a memory and they're not giving you full power. Lastly, if you are using NIMH maybe they're getting a bit old and can't deliver constant full power. Digital cameras can be very fussy with power requirements and anything short of the best can cause the problems you have and others. Go buy a new set of NIMH batteries, charge them for a full 14 hours and try them in your camera. I'll bet everything works like a charm. One other thing. If you are sure your batteries are fully charged remove them from the camera when the power dies and see if they are hot to the touch. If they are it means there is a short somewhere in the system.
