Lost charger to camera

Hi, I don't think the change in the charging cable caused the problem, the fact that the battery is old makes it prone to such issues.
It's always advised you use the cord that is supplied by the manufacturer or make a like-for-like change this ensures the device will perform optimally, having said that, I am not sure that a change in the charging cable would produce such an issue instantly.
That's why I insist that you may need to replace the battery or check if the battery works or behaves in the same manner in a different device before changing it.

Not knowing what model camera you have. (You know off course) I only can guess.
When you are referring to the USB cable, most Nikon cameras (lots of other brands too) need the normal USB mini-B plug, to connect the camera to the computer or a charger.
If the cable does not go in the camera, you probably have a micro-B plug. You can verify this on wikipeda, because they not only explain USB, they also show pictures of the different plugs.

Not all cameras charge from the USB cord. Also there are some USB cords for data, some for charging.

The A3100 comes with a separate battery charger. The camera does not charge with a USB cord.

Computer USB output does not provide sufficient power. Look on Ebay, buy a new charger

u need a new cord for charging.u lost ur receipt so no problem u can buy it any electronic or computer market i hope.

search online for charger,or go to ebay and try to find one there, I know I found a car charger for mine, not that expensive.

Strainght to the answer. It is fried! You may send it to Sanyo for possible less repair charge with a factory refurbished one ( call before sending it in) or need to purchase newer model. -James

Does this charger have an AC cord that plugs into it with a 2-prong end on the cord. If so, you should be able to find the cord at most electronic stores like Radio Shack.

If not, you can buy a replacement charger on ebay or from Amazon.

Try Casio Customer support. But I would imaging it will be a new charger. Is it a special charger? Would not an ordinary charger do?
