Error message when my Blue Rays reads dvds

The "Error" message appears in most of the DVDs or Blue Rays I insert. I have played older Blu Ray disks and standard DVDs for 1.5 years with no problem. After trying newer Blu Rays that would not play, I now can not get any disk to be recognized by the player. Mine is a BP620C

If player has wire internet connection port please download and update new version firmware driver/ If not please open player model support web page check availability driver for update new version.

It's a software issue. you need to ring the manufacturer to get files and instructions on how to upgrade your machine so it can play the newer blu ray movies. Quite a common problem.

If it plays CDs and DVDs but not BluRays at all, then the blue laser is burned out. CDs and DVDs use a different laser. A needed firmware update would not prevent it from reading a BluRay.

Since a week ago, the player doen't want to read bluray discs. It reads the dvds but not the bluray discs.

The DVDs use red light, and the blue rays use blue light, 2 systems. Have you tried a cleaning disc?

Standard DVDSs are read by a red laser while blue ray DVDs are read by a blue laser (hence the name). The blue laser diode is likely to be faulty and therefore standard dvds work but blue ray dvds do not. This is not an easily obtainable or replaceable part.

You need to use blu ray software to play blu rays, i.e. PowerDVD 8 or later, as well you may need additional software such as AnyDVD to watch it.

The reason why DVDS still work and the blu-rays don't is because it's a three part laser. dvd / cd / blu-ray.

The blu-ray portion almost always goes out first.

wrong disk ,disk error,
First Clean the lens:
