SOURCE: OKI B6300 Drum problem

Hello, com_jedi. I would suggest you contact the OKI Customer Support line in order to address this issue. The phone number is 1-800-654-3282 (800-OKIDATA). For your model unit you would hit options 1 then 4 to get to mono support.

It is possible that you purchased a defective consumable and OKI warranties them for 90 after the date of purchase. If this is a new drum/toner it may need to be replaced to determine if it was a bad chip in the cartridge or if there is some other issue with the unit that is causing the error.

It is also possible there is a misalignment with the sensor that is located under the drum unit. A support tech can walk you through the troublehshooting as it would be a bit difficult to do here.

I hope this helps!

I have a TG9035 and a Okie B6300. They look alike. The toner cartridges look the same. When I place the Oki cartridge i get an ID mismatch. Are the cartridges interchangable?

The print engine will be the same (supplied by Xerox) the control boards were for both TG and Oki printers designed by part of TG before bankruptcy in 2009.
Importantly the toner cartridges have a chip on them to identify to the printer which cartridge is inserted, the chip on the cartridge will more than likely be the only difference. Hence you see the Missmatch message when you insert the cartridge in the wrong printer.

Trouble with Oki B6300 drum/toner cartridge replacment. Can't get back into the menu to reset the printer.

Try removing and then reinstalling. If this happens since you changed the drum and toner, then the issue would be with the defective replacement. Way to test is to reinsert the old drum and toner and if this does not happen, then you know the issue is with the new supplies

My okidata printer won't recognize the toner cartridge.

Did you remove all the packaging material from the cartridge? This can often times be overlooked in some models. Make sure the cartridge is for the same model. Finally you may have a defective cartridge.

I have an Okidata c5150n printer which keeps giving the message "M Toner empty" even tho' there's a brand new cartridge installed. The same message shows even when I put a different cartridge and...

On the right side of the machine there is a part which monitors the toners. The toner sensor board 42613601 may be dirty or defective. See #29 in the diagram
It may be something physical, too like something not fitting, etc., but generally I recommend to replace the board.

Oki 3300

When installing the C3300 printer, or when replacing the toner cartridge, be sure to fully insert the toner cartridge into the image drum, and make sure the blue lever is pushed ALL THE WAY toward the back of the printer (fully locked position). If it is not fully closed (locked), a "toner sensor" or "toner empty" message may result.
