Assembly instructions We have just purchased this crib from a thrift store, but it does not come with assembly instructions. We are in desperate need!!

here are the conversion instructions you can probably figure it out from these, i can't find the assembly instructions either and need them!

Please do not assemble and use this crib. It has been recalled by the manufacturer due to "risk of death by suffocation." Even without the screws or receipt, you should be able to take the crib to a department store or children's store that sells Simplicity brand cribs and exchange it for a similar model.

The US Consumer Products Safety Commission lists this remedy in the recall notice:
"Consumers should immediately stop using the recalled cribs and find an alternative, safe sleeping environment for their baby. Consumers should immediately return the crib to the place of purchase for a refund, replacement or store credit."

The good news is that when you exchange it, the new crib will have all the screws and instructions you need!

According to the CPSP information the company appears to be out of business to some degree and are not providing repair kits.

If you know where you purchased the crib, check to see what their policy is reguarding recalled baby products.

We had purchased ours at walmart almost 8 years ago and were able to return it to another store in a different state for a full refund last summer. They did not need a reciept received, they just needed the manufacturer label on the part that the mattress lies on.
Because ours was older, the customer service clerk did have to work hard to find the crip in their system, but once she did, it was not problem at all.

See the other posts about this bassinet. It is going to be recalled soon because it has caused a couple of deaths. Please don't use it!
