How do I change the batteries in my Coleman 2000001573? All the parts seem welded together. Thanks.

William, went to Coleman site, looks like you remove screws on bottom of lantern to access and change battery.

Should have some screws holding it all together. However, there are some battery packs that are welded together- in those cases you have to carefully cut it open along the seam, replace the cells and put back together...

That is the problem! The other battery holds the information to the past reading and calibration. You will have to do major modification to change it out because the contacts are spot welded to the battery and then soldered to the board.

Other than replace the burner valve, there's not anything you can do. Apparently. it got jammed somehow, perhaps during the it's time in storage between uses or someone tried to force the valve.

Just a thought. When you change out ignitor are you being careful to not touch any of the ceramic or tungsten parts with your fingers? If you get even a very small amount of oil or other contaminates on ignitor it will cause them to burn out quickly. Hope this helps you. Thanks

It depends.

First if the Tag watch is older then it cannot be repaired by Tag and Tag won't have any parts for it.

If it is new, Tag should have the parts and a watchmaker or Tag themselves could repair your band. Although I would suggest a watchmaker over Tag if you can find one willing to deal with Tag for the parts. Expect this to take months to get the right link parts.

If it is older then we have repaired some of these with laser welding. Although there is no guarantee as to how long the welds will last, it does seem to work out for a while.

The ones we have done have lasted several years. In fact we just had a customer send his watch back in for a battery and we had welded his Tag clasp back together about 3+ years ago and it is still working just fine.

Bondo would probably work.

Also, you could laminate a few pieces of something like vinyl siding/facia board over the hole. If the canoe is ABS, the vinyl siding cold be "welded" / fused to the ABS with PVC primer & solvent/cement.

pramac bought them out i just order parts today oct-15-08 call1-800-445-1805 took me awhile to get a hold of someone but she seemed to know what was going on. my guess is that the printed curciut board in the back of the generater head is bad i have had to change alot of these out.
