I have a an AMANA gas stove burners work but oven doesn't

It is very possible that moisture from the cleaning has caused the ignition switches to make enough resistance to cause the burners to spark. It usually goes away after the stove has dried out. If it continues after a day or so one or more of the ignitor switches may need replacing.

when this happens it is usually because of a faulty flame/gas safety valve.

yes, check your timer or clock if the clock is set on automatic it will not work, needs to be on manuel. or it may need the oven ignitor, its berry sensitive its the part nest to the oven burner on the back.

Another problem with ignition may occur if you have too little (touching) or too much space between the igniter and the base of the burner; it will prevent the burner from igniting. You should only have a little more space than the thickness of a nickel between the burner base and the igniter. A good “blue” arc from the igniter to the burner base is optimal. If this doesn’t work, you may need to replace the electric igniter module. Good luck.

Hi. This sounds like a weak igniter, the symptoms usually are: burner won't light, or takes longer than normal to ignite the burner, may or may not smell gas in the oven, does not maintain set temperature or burner does not come on fully. On gas ovens, a glo igniter is like a light bulb, the more you cook, the faster it wears out. Bottom line, needs to be replaced. Good luck.

Because the glowbar is glowing does not necessarily make it good.
Turn off the gas to the stove. Remove the oven racks. Remove the bottom oven pan. Remove the flame spreader. This gives you access to the glow bar and gas valve.
Put a clamp on amp meter around one wire of the glowbar. Turn the oven control on to BAKE.
If the glowbar reads 3 amps or less,replace the glowbar ignitor.
If the glowbar reads good,check the burner tube for a white ash buildup. It can be cleaned with a wire brush. Look closely near the glowbar section of the burner.
Check all the wire connections for the gas valve.
If the glowbar is good and the ash deposits are gone and the oven still will not ignite,the next step is to replace the gas safety valve.

Your gas valve has a thermocouple circuit that will not let gas flow until the ignitor is hot enough. A failed ignitor can still glow but not be hot enough to open the gas valve. Replace your ignitor.

On top of that safety valve is a nut. Get a good fitting wrench. Turn on the oven and use that good fitting wrench on that nut. Turn it counterclockwise till the flame comes up about midways of the flame spreader. Don't get the flames too high. Midways of the spreader now. LOL
