Our 1 week old Vizio 47" VO47LFHDTV30A model tv has red floating areas. Called Vizio: They know about problem from other buyers, are coming out (after waiting over a week for their return call) to have them replace one of the 5 "boards". Costco stopped selling this model, our store mgr claims he "doesn't know why." We wonder if we should just return it now and get a different tv or let the Vizio guy in to repair it and hope for the best...Just KNOW it'll break again the day after the 90 day Costco warranty expires!
After posting this problem we did call Vizio. They sent out a repairman (had to wait over a week) who fixed it by: Replacing the LVDS cable and the main board. (Just like somebody on this blog wrote somewhere!) We also had just previously called our cable company who came out (also free) and checked our system only to find the cable running around the house to the tv needed replacing as it was sending zillions of errors. The red flowing problem (called "red pixilation") was due to the Vizio LVDS cable and main board being faulty from the factory.
Just want you out there in web land to know how to get your similar problem fixed!
