You should try leaving the console flat while playing, if you haven't done that already. Keep it in a spot where it will receive no disturbance from outside sources. Another cause could be due to over usage. Limit the amount of hours spent playing.

Exbox 360 wont read my game help!!

You need to either clean the laser and try again, and if that doesn't help you need to replace the laser. Sometimes it's just that hair or fibers get in the dvd drive motor and it won't spin. Try unplugging it and plugging it back in and try it, it just might work.

Everytime i put nhl10 in to play it says the disk is unreadable and i just got it today

Check the back of the disc for any kind of circular scratches, because moving the xbox while a disc is in it is commonly known to scratch up discs, even if they are new. Try putting in the disc, then go to Game Library, and click on the game (NHL 10), then hit Install to Hard Drive, this may fix the problem, if this doesn't work, go to your local game store, and see if they can buff out the scratches.

My playstation 3 wont play my game. I put the game in but it doesn't even come up. every once in a while it will come up, but then it will just give me an error code which I already looked up and it didn't...

either go return the exchange the game (for the same one of course if you can) or if u have warranty, get your ps3 repaired as the lense might be scrathed or just not reading correctly.

XBOX 360 PROBLEMS PLEASE HELP !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

This has happened to our 360. It seemed to happen the the 360 was on its side, We make sure that we do not force the games in fast, or remove them fast. If you need to get the scrathes out of the disc. Local game store can remove them. Or you can buy a kit @ Meijer or Walmary to remove scrathes from the disc.

Scratches my disks

If you move your xbox while it's on with a disc in it to horizontal from vertical or vice-versa it will scratch your disc. If that is not the case then the spindle might not be seated right (the spindle is too low usually) which usually causes it to touch the laser. If you still have your warranty then send it back to microsoft. If you don't have a warranty then you can either pay them $100-150 to repair it or fix it yourself. If you want to fix it yourself then open it up, open the dvd-drive and on the bottom is a metal plate with 3 torx screws 1 black and 2 silver. More than likely the 2 silver screws need to tightened because the they adjust how your spindle is set. There are videos you can find on how to do this and how to open your xbox too. I hope this helps.

XBOX 360

Your laser in your xbox has been moved, this is causing scratching once the disc heats up. you need to take it to get adjusted. Or if there is a sticker on something on the disc that may unbalance it, take it off.

Game Cube will not read disks. Please help!

you can clean the disks using tap water and then drying with soft cloth have you tried a lense cleaner to clean the laser on the cube get a good brand one not a cheap one also you can buy a disk cleaner that gently takes the scratches out of cds and gets them as new but you will have to shop around to get one but these work on anything cd dvd games the lot so deff worth having one as lots of people throw out dvds cd and games due to the scratches stopping them working but remember the data on a disk isnt on the plastic it is on the layey the other side of plastic the plastic is their to protect the data getting damaged so removing the scratches does not damage the disk if you have scratches this will affect the disk because the laser cant read through the scratch so polishing these scratches out will make the disk as new not many people know you can do this so consider yourself having privalaged info hope this is some help to you but you might have to ask arround for a disk repair so good luck you could even charge people to repair their disks and games this works for anything on a cd style disk.........................................................

Play station 2 limeline scratching my game disks

I do not think moving the console while playing is the problem.  It might scratch, of course, when you move while you're playing, but what when you're not and it keep scratching disks?  Problem the people who have posted here, haven't been moving when playing.  My PS2Slim is scratching my disks too.  I have put a new unscratched disk onto it, and made it load the game, and just for few minutes I turn it off and take the disk out, I see a small scratch on near the outer side of the disk.  And it is doing that constantly, on the same place, without moving the console.  The console is not on vertical position, but horizontal.

I was reading somewhere that when the disk starts to spin it vibrates, which makes sense.  If you lift your cover and check, there is a piece of small cloth like or sponge, I don't know near the top part, near where the disk lense is, it kind of like keeps the disk still.  But from time to time of being using the PS2, that small thing gets worn out it could be probably that thing that is not working as it is supposed to be, so the disk starts to vibrate more than it use to and then the disk gets scratched.  This is just an hypothesis.  I still need to find a way to replace that small piece to see if that's the problem.
