Elna 7000 - I seem to have mislaid my manual! I rarely use this machine for anything other than straight and zigzag stitch. i would really like to use programs A,B and C, which i know i have used in the past to stitch letters. i have touched all the buttons but cant remember how to do it. can anyone help me please?!
Hi jennymalibu! The best thing for you to do would be to download a new manual (free) from the Elnal site. It's in a .pdf format, so you need to have Adobe Acrobat Reader installed on your computer (also free at Adobe.com) Below is a link to your manual. Hi again, jennymalibu! Sorry, I should have read the manual before posting. I understand your frustration, I couldn't find a manual for the machine on the elna site either. To make things right, I purchased a manual, so hopefully I can help you this time. Try the following: Turn the display wheel to make the following appear: The top line programs are "A" and "C". The second line programs are "B" and "D". The stitches on the displays are accompanied by a selection letter. Push the "Select Program" key. This causes the control light for the stitch to blink. This shows you must compose the number for the desired stitch on the keyboard. Example: Garland=25 Your display will then show what foot is recommended and stitch length and width recommended. These can be modified by pushing the "+" or "-" keys. Stitch #34,35,26, etc. selects the letters A,B,C, etc. for monograms. Hope this does it for you! Regards, Hal

Each stitch that shows up on the selector bars at the top has a number so to choose it, you just type in the appropraite number using the 0-9 keyboard, then press the "select pattern" key. The top selector bars turn so you can see the different range of stitches but the A B C D part doesnt come into actually chosing a stitch.

Thanks but this manual only tells me how to fix problems with the machine! i have been scrolling through the Elna website trying to find the instruction manual but cant find it.
Can anyone just tell me how to change the embroidery stitches please?
Thank you, this is very helpful. However, there seems to be a problem with my machine as its not working. When i press 'select program' the lights do not flash and i can only select single numbers, therefore i cant get the ABC programs. What a pain! Thank you for your help though. Jen
