The only thing I suggest is taking your Skil driver to a Bosch service center (Skil is now owned by Bosch) and they will replace the charger under warranty if the driver is less than a yr old. If not those chargers are not that expensive. Either way you need a new charger because they are not repairable.

Only the red light comes on jazzy select charger

Batteries must be stored on a full charge. For extended periods they should be disconnected. If your batteries are flat/dead the charger will not attempt to charge them. You should remove your batteries and check and try to charge them individually. Sometimes they will come alive, must of the time they won't. Charge them individually with a 12 volt 2 amp charger - no higher; or in series with a 24 volt 4 amp charger.

Might be a fuse or something inside charger blown maybe, as I'm reading it could be somewhere online. Not positive on this.

I have a Skil Model 2363 drill. Used it about 3 times. Put it in the charger and it won't charge. I have it for about 1-1/2 years. Skil says I have to buy a new one. That the battery is no longer made....

Sometimes places like Batteries + and the Battery Barn (on line web sites) will have replacement batteries for popular models even after the manufactures quit producing them. That is where I found batteries for my Bosch drill.

My battery will not charge

Supposedly there is , But I don't think so, There is a video on you tube that shows somebody messing with them, I think it is a bunch of ****. Is it the battery or the charger? Do you have other batteries that charge up? The life of the battery is about 1 year. I have boxes full of dead batteries, and guns and chargers. It is cheaper to buy a new gun with batteries and charger than it is to buy 2 new batteries. Check it out.

14.4V Charger doesn't work

Hello,

This must typically be the Batteries themselves in the Drill. Usually, rechargeable batteries give out after a couple of charges, if it has handled few charges, then it must be a fault within the Charger. But I'm sure a battery replacement would be fine :)

Battery in Jeep Grand Cherokee dead this am and less than 1 year old. I have a Everstart 100 battery charger plugged in and on the car. How long does it take to charge the battery. The charger is plugged...

How many amps does this charger put out????
A small trickle charger will take forever to fully recharge a dead battery, you'll need to have a battery charger that can put out enough amps to properly charge a dead battery. To clarify, the chargers sold at Sears, the large square types on wheels are the best for charging dead batteries and they also have an amp meter telling you how much the battery is accepting. After you charge your battery, you should be around 12.5 volts to 12.7 volts. DO NOT OVER CHARGE!!!

Skil cordless drill model 2362 - won't charge

I have the same problem. The guys at Batterries Plus told me that 7.2 volt battereis are not easily replaced and definately not through them. If you left it charging for to long (ie over a week when you were gone like me) then the battery is never gonna charge again. You might as well find the same model of dril at skil's reconditioned site for around $40 or buy a brand new one for $60 or $70

I have a Skil 2362 7.2v drill that goes dead when charged

Sounds like the trigger switch is bad. If you know the charger is good and it is charging the battery, then it must be the switch. I suggest you take the charged battery and test it with a multimeter for the 7.2V. If the battery is dead, then check the charger.
Take it back to Lowes and get a different brand.
