SOURCE: Resetting a Casio 130CR to default settings

Hi.
It is unlikely to be a memory problem. If you can explain the symptom then I might be able to give some advice. How is it playing up? Please describe the button sequence and what the machine is doing wrong.

Casio TE-2400 not adding?

Replace the 3 x AA memory batteries. It needs those as they are the equivalent of the motherboard battery in a computer. The master reset button in normally hidden under the Cash Total or Sub Total buttons. Then go through the manual and do Basic Setup.

It is a complex till and a lot to learn in 24 hours. A local Casio point of sale dealer could set it up for you in about 30 minutes and that is probably the best option.

PCR-T470 clearing out grand total sales to zero

Hi. It is a non re-settable total to stop fraudulent activity. You would have to RAM clear the whole machine and start from scratch to clear it. You can stop it from printing if you like. There is a setting to turn of grand total printing. Use the machine features tables on your book to set the grand total to not print if it annoys you. If you need a manual, one of the users has it here:

How do I reset my casio CE-6100. I brought it second hand and need to clear it before I can use it.

If you do that, you will need to setup the dealer (system) programming such as keyboard allocation, machine features and memory allocation. You could just edit the programming to suit your business and save a lot of time. print the Z1 and Z2 reports to clear the totals (the grand total can't be reset but you don't need it if you do daily reports anyway).

I have acquired an old casio 240 cr and need to reset all the totals can you tell me how I do this please

Great old machines. The 240CR is only simple, so you just turn the key to Z mode and press CASH to re-set the report. The grand total (GT) may not reset because it is usually a security feature, but you don't need it. Just ignore any GT on the report. all other totals should be cleared and if you do it each day, you'll get the figures you need.
If anyone needs more information, the 240CR manuals are here:

I just bought a Casio PCR T275 cash register and would like to zero out the "Z" report. Can you tell me how?

Try turning the key to Z mode and press CASH. That should clear the main report except for the grand totals which can't be reset. Just ignore them as they are not needed for daily reporting. If you want to remove the GT from the report, there is usually a setting. See how you get on. -----------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Casio tk 6500, error codes E046 and E029, how ever when we use the above reset diagram it clears but then on total it minus a penny every time we cash

You have probably programmed a pre-set onto the cash button. It is a common mistake. Do the half reset again to jump out of the sale, then try this:
Turn key to program mode 1 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL 3 SUBTOTAL 0 CASH SUBTOTAL
Turn back to REG mode and try it.
If anyone needs more information on the Casio TK-6000 and TK-6500, the manuals are here:

Casio 2202ER

Hi. we don't have this model, but it depends upon the features of your machine. Some old ones cannot store a years information.

The standard daily reset is usually performed by turning the key to Z mode, then pressing CASH. If it has a Z2 mode, then do the same in that mode for a yearly total.

Hope this helps.
