Maytag bravos model mvwx500xw0 will not drain and spin properly

rear tub bearing is going out, must be replaced, causing too much drag. labor intensive repair.

cold possibly be just the agaitor but odds are u need a transmisson not worth repair

Check the inbalance/lid switch for continuity.Ck speed selector switch (if any)the water level and water temperture switches for proper opreation.NOTE:If any of the selector switches on the console are only poartially pushed in,it may cause improper function.I do not know how old your washer is.TEST LID SWITCH FIRST.If above does not solve,ck timer circuits for continuity.Get ready for this:there is to much to ck with out been there.is motor buzzing,test capacitor,washer spins but does not agitate,ck the agitator splines if they are not rhe problerm,the transmission might be the problem.GOOD LUCK.FYI I own Whirlpool washer and dryer and I repair my own,I prefer KENMORE/WHIRLPOOL/ROPER PRODUCTS because they are easy to repair and parts are not as high priced.
