If you have an iphone, you have your setting set to "do not disturb" which will silence calls automatically which is a great feature for times when you are in a meeting or even a movie theater.
I'm assuming you have an iphone which is the most common phone and easiest to accidentally turn this mode on. If so, go into your settings and underneath the "notifications" and "control center" tab, you will see "Do Not Disturb". Switch off the "manual" tab as well as "scheduled" if that setting is on. Now, your phone should ring like normal.
Hope this helped!
The do not disturb feature (DND) allows you to mute the ringer, the base, and any registered handsets at the same time. The phone must be in standby mode. Press and hold do not disturb on the base. You will hear a confirmation tone, and the DND LED illuminates. To cancel the DND feature, press do not disturb again. You can also mute the ringer tone while the phone is ringing by pressing do not disturb on the base. Activating the DND while the answering system is off will turn the answering system on automatically. The answering system setting will reset to the original setting when you cancel the DND. If you press answer on/off when the DND and the answering system is on, both of the DND and the answering system will turn off. To mute the ringer tone temporarily for each handset or the base, when the phone is ringing, press the MUTE soft key on the handset or the base. The ringer tone will return to the previous setting starting with the next incoming call.
