Vizio e322ar won't turn on

When turning the tv, the logo comes on. Then shortly afterward, the unit turns itself off. I have seen post about this same problem that suggest it may be a power supply regulator ic chip. Does anyone know the part number of the chip?

My Vizio E322AR White Vizio Light comes on when plugged in, then slowly fades to "Off". I unplugged and replugged - same. I held down the power botton on the side, and plugged in... same. Vizio light comes on (White) and over 5 seconds or so... fades out to nothing.
Remote doesn't do anything, buttons on the side don't do anything.
Going to pull the back off and look for bad Capacitors, and test fuzes for continuity. Wish me luck ... will report back later with results.

SOURCE: no picture or sound, light comes on in the front and have to unplug tv to turn it off.

I had this exact problem on my Vizio 47" HDTV. I removed the speakers and all the screws on the back cover. Took the cover off and located the fuses on the largest circuit board. The are in the upper right hand corner of the board. There are 3 of them in a row labeled LF 1.5, LF 3.0 and LF 3.0. The are white in color with copper ends. I took a volt meter and measured continuity across all fuses individually and found the LF 1.5 to be blown. The guy at the electronics store sold me a barrel 1.5A fuse and told me to soldier it across the top of the blown fuse. It took an extra set of hands but the TV works perfectly.

For the cheap guy like me who will probably do more harm than good:
Also check for the F3 Fuse on that same main input board. It is located in the upper right corner. Hard wired fuses; very small. You will see F1-F4 (F4 is empty). You can solder a replacement fuse right over it. I would recommend piggybacking the fuse with a fuse you can replace. Will need the holder and a new fuse. 6 bucks.
Doesn't solve problem, but I can go another 2 1/2 years and the wife won't blame me for screwing up the TV in the first place.

SOURCE: Vizio E550VL won't turn on. The vizio logo just flashes orange.

Good day!!!!

That problem is usually cause of faulty capacitors on the power supply board..

Just follow this instruction to fix your TV..

1. Open the back cover of your TV.
2. Look at the power supply board..Its normally connected to the power cord..
3. After that,,try to look at the actual image of capacitors if it is bulged on the top so that you can easily determine the bad capacitors..
4. After that,,try to replaced the bad capacitors using soldering iron and soldering lead..replaced the capacitors only with the same type ratings and value..
5. Some of the capacitors not bulged so its better if have a capacitance meter

VIZIO E322AR HDTV with Built-In WiFi gets power but no picture or screen appears to be black.

You are reaching out to Fixya, we are not Vizio.

Blown capacitors could certainly be the reason if it has also failed internally. Just solder in a new capacitor.

A quick search shows it is a known issue on that set and in Just Answer dot com, the tech says it needs a new main board.

Hello,

your problem is most likely due to a faulty t-con or main board. The good news is that research shows that your t-con and main board are all in one. Vizio's are known for bad main boards. The question is it worth repairing? The good board from a reputable company will cost $80 plus, the prices on 32" sets are below $200 in some markets nowadays. Vizio m470nv will not come on, logo blinks orange to white.

It may not be the caps at all, a lot of the new LED Back-Lit TV have faulty LEDs. They short and pull down the power supply, and to a novice it will seem like a bad power supply. That means that you must replace the bad LED's in that particular LED strip before you can fix the problem. Not an easy repair for a rookie.
