First, I'm not a Saeco technician. Though I've worked on similar Saeco models.
*** The following is for information only. You should always call your vendor for service, as opening this machine will void warranty.***

- Water not getting to machine or not sensing that the water tank is already filled.
* There usually some type of float near to middle of the water tank. It's usually white or colored plastic. This 'float' needs to move freely up-down to 'sense' the filled tank. clean the tank and shake it -note the movement of this float. It will need further cleaning if it's stuck (or you will have to replace tank if it's crudded up).
* Re-install tank and fill with filtered water. Turn machine off, count to 15 then turn on again. This usually turns on pump to add water to inner tank. If this does not happen then there is a CPU problem. If it does hums for 5-10 seconds then goes off but no heating then the pump may have an air bubble in line. Try the turn off and on method several times (up to 5) to get the water flowing. If it's still not working then there is a clog in the pump and will need service and/or replacement.
* Did you change water source? Since this is a table top machine in which you fill the water tank. Try to use filtered (bottled ok) water. Do Not use Distilled or 100% pure water as this type of water will eat out the metals from your machine! Some places use a water softener as it tends to be better for the machine long term (years).
* Still got problems? Check with vendor or MFR for service or replacement. Most machines of this type do not have serviceable parts or adjustments.

SOURCE: The Sensor Magnet for water tank does not float to the top

OK, first of all, I do not recommend my solution if you are forgetful or do not check your water level manually daily.

However, I found a super easy solution.

The way the unit works is to use a float in the water chamber with a magnet on the bottom. When their is enough water in the tank, the float rises and the magnet on the bottom floats to the top of the magnet chamber. When it floats up, it aligns with a sensor in the machine that allows the machine to operate. When the the water level lowers, so does the magnet and drops below the internal sensor disabling the machine with a "Fill Water Tank" error message.

To eliminate this error and allow the machine to operate, I simply popped off the lid to the magnet chamber with a butter knife and turned the water chamber up side down to let the magnet float fall out. Remember to empty the water first.

Here comes the highly technical part. Turn the magnet float upside down and slide it back into the float chamber. Since the actual magnet is on the bottom of the float it now is at the top allowing the internal sensor to turn off. No more error message!

The reason I do recommend this is because this completely defeats the purpose of the sensor and will most likely damage your machine if you run it without water. Keep you tank filled however and you will eliminate the frustration of a "float gone bad" keeping you from your morning caffeine.

Do you get coffee? If it is just no water/steam, could be a blockge in the steam wand, or blockage in water lines. First test easy one - the steam wand. If the steam wand is o.k- then check for blockages in water lines/components ( pump, boiler, steam boiler). If you do not feel confortable with testing all the untis where water flows, contact Saeco USA Inc. to locate a Service Center near you at 800-933-7876 (toll-free), ask for customer support, or contact SAECO via e-mail at : [email protected]

Water light not going out, even when full. Not able to make coffee

the water tank has a float inside, the float has a magnet. the machine senses the position of the magnet and indicates water ok/not. sometimes the magnet rusts inside the plastic casing, renders it less magnetic so it wont work. or the float is missing- fell out while you were cleaning the tank. you will need a new magnetic float to fix the problem.

Hi, I a problem with my Saeco s-class incanto classic coffee machine. The two coffee cup lights are flashing green the water light is flashing red. I prime by turning the steam valve and hardly any water...

Try this, when you run the hot water cycle to prime machine and it stops putting out water push in on the knob if that works then replace the tap rod assembly or the whole steam valve assembly.

How to drain coffee machine saeco s-class incanto classic

Subject: How to drain boiler of Saeco Incanto Deluxe
I got an answer from Saeco Customer Service as follows:

-----------------------------------------------------
Good Afternoon,

All you need to do is have the machine turned on and up to temperature. Make sure that you have a full tank of water as well. Make sure the machine is set for hot water, then turn the knob on the side of the machine to start water flow. Once the water is flowing out, remove the water tank and, leaving the knob turned open so that the water that's in the system drains out. Once water stops coming out, close the knob and shut the machine off.
The water is now drained from the system.

Thank You,

Yes that is perfectly normal. It has to have enough for a long coffee or steam. So it always has some to spare in the tank.
