SOURCE: Does soundblaster ct4870 have audio drivers for vista?

I just checked Creative's web site. This card is no longer officially supported by them, and has not official Vista support.
While I found several sites promising drivers, I would be wary of messing with this for fear of turning 1 problem into 2.
IF Gateway has a driver for your specific model, that would probably be OK to use (if it supports Vista), but otherwise I would replace the card.
If you're not sure about model # just post a serial # and I can look it up from there.

I found this on the Creative forums posted by a Creative Forum Moderator:

It says Windows 2000/XP, but it will most likely be fine for Vista too.

Hy guys . after i instaled Windows 7 on my computer my sound card isnt working .i have a ASUS a8s-x motherboard. i searched on asus websites for any updates but there isnt any for Windows 7 :/ can u guys...

this is a XP driver and there is no win7 driver but it works correctly on windows7.get the driver form this link:

Unfortunately Creative Labs has discontinued support for that model sound card. There is no Windows 7 driver as the last driver released for it was in 2005.

You'll need to purchase a newer sound card. A Windows 7 Compatible sound card starts in the $25 range.

Go to the creative Labs website and download the updated drivers for windows 7. Your other option would be to run this device in Compatibility mode with the Vista Drivers.
