might be a warped spin basket or the dampers could need to be replaced. could even be a bad spin bearing. if it was bearing, normally would be associated with a loud noise during the spin cycle though.
Thanks for the quick responses.Pulled front cover, ran a load on high level, no leaks .Ran a load on super level and when drum spins when full of water water level rose and poured out of left front side on top of drum. Pulled plastic ring on top of drum and and found piece of seal missing where leak occured .Ordered upper tub seal, should solve problem
Snubber ring that tub and spin basket assembly sits in is most likely worn. Very inexpensive part but extensive labor involved. I would suggest calling a competent service tech.
they do dance well dont they? this is caused by the support springs coming off the drum holder and the drum will have droped a little as well,
take off the top of the washer and look down each side you should see the support springs if the off just hook them back on or fit new one's?
dont leave this as it will pull all the pipes off inside the washer
its an easy fix,
Try leveling the washer... If the washer is level, then don't wrap the clothes around the agitator...drop the clothes straight in, on top of each other evenly around the agitator. The Ensignia washer has a Dual action agitator... That means the clothes roll over them selves, instead of moving side to side, as with a traditional agitator. wrapping the clothes around the agitator will cause the load to be un balanced and then cause the "banging" noise... this should take care of the problem...
This washing machine has self-leveling rear legs. Tilt the machine up on the front legs and you'll hear the back legs drop down to re-level itself. Center the basket and restart.
make sure all shipping pins are out the tub should move all around from side to side if it level still bangs its eather the balance ring top basket are there 3 slides on a plate above the motor just put some silacone oil on tham move around
I have a Performa Model PAV3200AWW that would go unbalanced every time it would go into a spin cycle. I found the problem to be a worn out snubber. This is a plastic ring that is at the pivot point for the whole tub. It separates the metal to metal contact at the bottom of the washer pivot point. The part is less than ten dollars, but it is a quit a job to replace. I had to remove the whole tub to replace mine, but it did solve the problem. If you see a lot of plastic shavings around the pivot point, then this could be your problem.
bigmur, you need the snubber kit for this washer. There was a service flash out on this model, SF-26-756. The kit includes the snubber and 6 new springs. Condition was, excessive vibration during spin, basket leans to one side. Kit number, 12002357. Check with your retailer...this repair may be covered. Catriver..post back
