How to save phone numbers in phone book - Vtech Cordless 6041 Phone

I don't know what kind of phone you have but most will give you am option in the menu to look at what is on your memory card. Just go to your menu and choose whichever option (some phones put it under control options) gives you access to memory card then retrieve your number. It sounds like you have the phones address book set to saving on memory Rather than either phone or memory + phone. If this doesn't help post phone brand and model, that would help allot.

press the option button and scroll down to save number.
press save and the number will be on your phone book.

Just check in the phone book whether the number saved in the phone book or sim card or momory card are saved twice with 2 different or same name. if it is saved with 2 different name/same name. nokia phone gets confused which name to be displayed and he flash only the mobile number and not the name.

It should be as simple as adding their name and number to the address book on the phone.

Make sure to list the number under the Mobile Phone line.

While in the address book, there is usually a line that says "New Entry" or "Add number" etc...(without the type of phone I cant get specific).

Another method is to into the text message itself and do an options click (again without the phone cant be specific) and there should be an option to add the number to the address book.

Most phone have settings to display, only sim contacts or only phone contacts or both

Address Book Settings
1. Touch ➔ Address Book ➔ Address Book Settings.
2. Touch any of the following options to activate a function:
• My Business Card: attaches a user created virtual business card
as an attachment to outgoing messages.
• Save New Contacts to: defines the destination for new contact
entries (Phone or SIM Card) (page 95).
• View Contacts from: to filter the display of current Address Book
entries. Options include: All, Phone, or SIM Card (page 91).
• Own Number: to display your current phone number (page 93).
• Fixed Dial Contacts: assigns phone numbers as FDN entries
(page 93).
• Used Space: displays the memory storage allocation (total available
and remaining) within both your Phone, SIM card, and FDN list
(page 97).

On your "my stuff" menu go to pictures. Once you find the picture you want click "options". Then press one on "set as", then click on Picture ID. You will only be able to save to numbers that are stored on your phone, NOT the sim. If you are having trouble with knowing how your phone saves the numbers, then on your address book menu scroll down to view options. Then you will be able to change your settings so your phone can save to your sim and handset or vice versa. If your numbers have only been saving on your sim, then you can copy the numbers onto your handset by using the same address book menu. I hope that helps.

go to phone book then managment then copy all to then sim card.

You have to check 2 things regarding this problem
1)check if you hav saved that number under 2 different names. because if you have done so, then the phone will not know which name to display ending up not showing any.
2) check if you have saved 2 different numbers for the same name.
I guess your problem will be solved if you check the above options

Just type the number including the country code, then
select More on the right hand side of the phone,
select Save number, and then,
choose an already saved contact to add the number to,
or create a new contact,
then click Select on the left hand side of the phone,
then the phone will prompt you to put a name in for that number. if it's a new contact.
Then select Save.
