3 activated carbon Mask mask DIY
Activated charcoal - not to be confused with plain charcoal - has become a common ingredient in skin care products, due to its deep-cleansing properties. It can be found in facial soaps, masks, liquid cleansers, and even in makeup primers with the purpose of preventing your skin from getting oily. Activated charcoal, which is a form of processed carbon, has an adsorptive quality that allows it to bind to dirt, oil and environmental pollutants, lifting them from the skin. It's inexpensive and easy to find at pharmacies and health food stores, usually in the form of capsules or loose powder. You can mix it with your face cleanser for a deep cleanse or use with other ingredients to create simple, effective facial treatments.
Warning
Activated charcoal may stain your clothes. Before preparing any of these face masks consider changing your clothes. Make sure to wear something you don't mind getting dirty when you apply the mask to your face. If your clothes get stained, rinse them right away.
