I have the similar situation, while driving got a message on dash that rear lights were not working so proceeded to change bulbs, no solution as problem still persists.someone suggested I buy and replace the rear light fittings and plugs which I did at a huge cost and still the same problem. Any suggestions
There is this thing on Norstar systems called Reply message... this turns on your voicemail light, but there is on messages when you go into the mailbox.
Try this: FEATURE # 6 5 There might be something on you set that will tell you who sent the message, and you can hit the # or press the OK button to cancel this message!
If it works sometimes, then it might be a problem with the phone or the phone line itself.
If it never works at all, then it's a problem with the services that the phone company has enabled/disabled on the line. If that's the case, call your phone company's repair line and explain the situation. They can check to confirm that the message waiting indicator service is provisioned on the line, or add it if it's not.
The term we used for this back when I worked for the phone company was a "stuck message waiting indicator" and the way to fix it was:
Call yourself and leave a message. Hang up and wait 2 minutes (we used to say 5 minutes, but 2 is plenty) Retreive/delete your voice mail message Hang up and wait 2 minutes
