wrong lamps?
do the HL fail
key off
key on
key on engine running
or all fails and all 4 lamps fail low and highs or both lows./

buy it used like this or just failed now 30 years later? called out of the blue failed?
name all lamps in the dash that fail there are many
we can not guess them all.
the dash has piles of cluster lamps. (errors) and has background lamps that are DIMMER controlled.
dashboards have many lamps even the shift lever does.

1. car starts and riuns good
2. HL work key on and off, headlamps
3. park ing lamps work
4. dome lamp work (door opens domes glow)
5. cluster error lamps work or not.
6. cluster back ground dimmers work or not.
7. AC panel dead. lamps yes.
8. the car has 2 or more fuse boxs, you do know that riight
9. all facts matter above to fast accurate diagnosis. (I give up)
10. this car had option AUTO lamps , got that?

F13 ,IP box is fuse that can blow. is park feed (HL) to dash
and via the DIMMER. and also glows Illumination on AC panel
THE AC active lamp is a whole other matter.
if the DIMMER works on high but not below that is a BAD dimmer control, for sure)

IP fuse F6 is for AutO Lamps OPTED CARS.


THIS MAKES NO SENSE
I the dimmer switch turn the interior light on still so I'm assuming it's still good
IF DIMMER FAILS FAILS ALL MODES THE FUSE IS BLOWN
IF DIMMER FAILS ONLY OFF HIGH THE DIMMER ITSELF IS BAD.
IT HAS ONLY 2 PINS ON IT.
HOT WITH PARK OR HL ON.
THIS PATH IS DASH AND CLUSTER ILLUMINATION FEED
OR BACKGROUND LAMPS, ONLY, FOR NIGHT DRIVING.

Possible:

Lamp about to fail (too dim and set will shut down).

Lamp Ballast failing (it drives the lamp)

Color wheel issue (usually there will be a high pitched or fan like sound heard but not always)---if wheel turns too slow set will detect that and turn lamp and set off.

If Akai brand that is Samsung (they own the name).

I have a simple suggestion-----remove the lamp with cartridge (set unplugged) and look where the lamp faces-----the color wheel this model uses fails--I will attach a photo.

What you are looking for is: are any segments missing or the wheel even shattered?

These fail often and the set if wheel (turns at over 8,000 rpm) slows down, shattered, or missing pieces the set will detect that and turn the lamp off almost instantly.





Let me know as if this is the problem it can be a do it yourself replacement as You Tube has video instructions for this on most models.

Lamp is burned out or makes a popping sound.
When the lamp reaches its end of life, it may burn out and may make a loud popping sound.
If this occurs, the projector does not turn back on. To replace the lamp, see on page 38.
LAMP light is solid amber If the LAMP light is solid amber, replace the lamp.
LAMP light is blinking amber If the LAMP light and the Power light are blinking amber, the lamp driver has failed and the projector will automatically shut down.
If the LAMP light is blinking amber and Power light is solid blue, the color wheel has
failed and the projector will automatically shut down.
Unplug the power cord after 3minutes then turn the display on again. If this problem
persists, contact Dell™.
TEMP light is solid amber The projector has overheated. The display automatically shuts down. Turn the display on again after the projector cools down. If the problem persists, contact Dell™.
TEMP light is blinking amber A projector fan has failed and the projector will automatically shut down. If the problem persists, contact Dell™.

If turning the lamp on fails, the set automatically tries turning the lamp on 3 times. If all attempts fail, all LED's on the front panel will blink. Check the lamp and the ballast and replace them, if necessary.
Check lamp fan too, make sure fan is rotate smoothly. Thanks.

Well the single re blink of the LED indicates Lamp failure. Though most likely there can be a few other causes for your lamp not lighting. here's the most likely problem if the lamp has not failed.
It could be the lamp power supply (ballast) has failed.
Or if you don't hear the fans running either there is a possibility the "over-temp" sensor has failed.
If the fans are running I would try replacing the lamp.

have you check that the bulb you installed is the right bulb for your unit?

have you check by replacing your bulb it correct position?try to unplug the power cord and lug it again and turn on.

replace the lamp. it has failed. the lamp light is a warning sign to alert a failed lamp.
