Last week, our company underwent a network security audit, and following a scan of our network by this auditor, our Lexmark 640 and 644 printers began to malfunction. While the printers themselves were showing to be connected and "ready", they were not printing any jobs.
Hard resetting the printers seems to temporarilly remedy the issue, as does reinstalling the drivers, but we are searching for a way to alleviate the problem altogether.
