Top of form fault - I assume you hit "Feed" button and still got the form fault... if so:
1. check paper sensor position, sometimes just 1/8" one way or the other will make a difference.
2. calibrate the printer to the stock you have loaded - calibration is EASY, just press and hold the feed button until the printer cycles 8-10 times. Let go, should say "Calibration Complete". Hit "Feed" again to see if your top of form fault is fixed.

Maybe the sensor is dirty or needs calibrated. The calibration procedure is a bit complicated. Download the manual and go to page 42. http://datamaxcorp.com/_assets/library/pdf/mclass_ops_88231301_e.pdf

SOURCE: Top of Form Fault error

It means that the printer did not get a good calibration on the label. First make sure the label sensor is in the proper position. Look at the green bar that the label passes underneath and make sure that the white line (the sensor) is positioned over the label. Then calibrate by pressing and holding the FEED key for about 5 seconds until the labels start to feed. After a few labels feed out, the printer should now have a good read on the size of the label and be ready to go.

Hope that Helps !

Hello, i have a datamax i class he give a fault "top of form fault" i don't no what that is

The error is indicating that it cannot calibrate the media. Try holding in the feed key for approx 10 seconds and see if it will calibrate. Experiment with the position of the media sensor. It will slide horizontally.

You need to calibrate the printer using the instructions located in the manual. This should be in area 5.2 of the manual. If you don't have the manual you can download them at this address along with software updates and firmware updates.

DatamaxI class 4208 top of form fault

The printer must be calibrated or the type of sensor is wrong. Verify that the sensor type is correct for your label (gap or black mark) and you can calibrate it by pressing the FEED key for about 5 seconds approximately.

not easy to diagnose. the basic fault is that the defrost system has packed up.

check that there is continuity thro the defrost heater. there may also be a thermal fuse in series with the heater so check that also.

if those ok, then points to a fault in the main module

ZV6000 screen fault

Sounds like a loose lcd cable, or possibly inverter-lcd cable.
Try gently pressing on the lcd about 1/3 of the way down form the top, and 1/3 from the left, or in that area.
Good luck
