Replace the disc drive, might not be able to read. Disc also could be bad, try it in another known-good computer.

Emachines d528 keeps getting stuck during factory recovery...everythung is ok untill it reaches software installation...it gets to "installing office 2010 25/34" and will not complete...let it run for...

If using Alt F10 or 12 at boot and having this issue sorry to say but could be a bad hard drive or corrupt recovery partition. If using Recovery DVDs try the Alt F10 or 12 method. If you do not have DVDs and can boot to windows use the Emachine Recovery disc creator to make a set. My experience says if all fails it's the hard drive.

I was trying to create the Recovery Management disk but everytime I try to burn the CD it keeps ejecting. I would really like it if you could provide some help. I recently bought this E-Machine computer...

Welcome to Fixya

Please see procedure below on how to create recovery disk. Let me know if smae thing will happen.

  • 1

Click the "Start" icon on the Windows Vista home screen. Select "eMachines," then click "eMachines Recovery Management." The eMachines Recovery Management program opens.

  • 2

Click "Create Factory Default Disc." The program will tell you how many discs you will need. Make sure the correct optical drive is selected, then insert a blank disc into that drive. Click "Start" to begin the burning process.

  • 3

Remove the disc when it is finished burning and label it "Recovery CD 1." Insert the next the next blank disc if one is required. Click "OK" to begin burning the next disc. Repeat this step until all of the discs have been created and labeled. Close the eMachines Recovery Management program, insert the system CD that came with the laptop and restart the laptop.

  • 4

Press "F12" repeatedly when the eMachines logo is displayed on the screen to be redirected to the Boot menu. Select the optical drive, then press "Enter."

  • 5

Insert Recovery CD 1 when you are prompted to insert the recovery disc. The eMachines Recovery Management program will open.

  • 6

Click the "Restore" tab in the list on the left side of the eMachines Recovery Management program window, then select "Completely Restore System to Factory Defaults." The computer automatically restarts and the recovery process begins. Insert any additional recovery discs as requested. The computer will reboot automatically when the laptop has been recovered to its original factory default settings, and you will be taken to the Windows Setup screen.

Set up Windows Vista with your own personal settings.

When you first turn on your system look at bottom of screen it should give you info to enter setup, more than likely it will say F2 to enter setup. If you are able to enter setup check Boot devices and change from hard drive to cd rom than you will be able to boot to recovery disc. Be careful that you write down any changes you make so you can reverse them if you have any issues. it is fine to leave boot to cd.

Error message that says bootmgr is missing on emachines T3604

You will need to repair the Windows installation. Put the original discs (restore discs) in the PC and when it asks you if you want to install or repair, select repair.

Pc keeps trying to start up but states it needs to reboot and won't. I have tried to insert the operation disc and it does not work either

it probably says insert suitable boot device. If you are trying to boot from a cd go into the bios and set the boot device priority to CD as priority. If hard drive then set hard disk to the top.

The hard drive may be defective. It is very difficult to fix a computer problem over email unless it is a common type of fault. Get a computer tech to check this out for you.

on these matter i have identified two possible cause of your problems.

    1. You CD/DVD (discs) maybe damage.
    2. Your CD/DVD rom was not able to read.

    Solution:

    1. to sure that the DVD/CD rom is functional try other discs (Any discs that that is clean and no traces of damage.(if work on another discs so DVD/CD rom is good if don't work your discs is good)

if not solve the problem maybe your system had a problem. update me in case.
