What are you wanting to clean?? most places are the pump & bowl under the agitator..

the pump is under the machine, some have a little plastic side hatch you open to get to the pump.

the bow is gotten to but removing the agitator, usually a thumb nut down the middle of agitator, and then pull up agitator to remove out the top,

soak up all the water & clean out the dirt & scale you find.

Scotsman Prodigy ice machine cycles a few times and then quits. Cleaning light is on also...compressor gets very hot.

It needs servicing. They should be done once a year, and especially just before the summer season. Yours has a clogged condenser grill full or greasy dust and fluff. That is causing it to overheat and will cause the compressor to fail.

Cleaning cycle should be done on recommended intervals, plus additional bleaching inside the ice storage bin, especially up in the top where you can't see.

Husqvarna Huskylock 936. Handwheel won't turn, machine hasn't been used in a long while.

A thorough clean and oil would probably do wonders for the machine. These old mechanical machines are dependable but they do need some regular TLC because the old oil dries out and glues things together. I recommend not trying to run the machine until the problem gets addressed because it could damage the motor trying to run parts that are stuck together.

Below is what I've done for old sewing machines that have been neglected. Also, about once a year I perform a thorough clean/oil on my mechanical serger (as well as all my sewing machines). On my serger, I can remove the bottom (because that's how mine opens) and get to the moving joints inside.

Wheel on right side that controls the needle up and down is very tight...

I live in Campbelltown NSW. my pfaff is a 1477. I only need it cleaned as working well after all these years. How can I get it done by a pfaff dealer perhaps?

here is a link to the Pfaff dealers in Australia
http://www.pfaff.com/au/7272.html

I've found a regular clean and service at least 3 yearly is well worth the $$$ in tuning up the machine and keeping the working parts, especially unseen ones, clean and lubed.

You could ring first and ask for an estimate on this.

My Simpson Ezi Sensor is washing clothes leaving grimy tracks and soap powder on the clothes. BeforeI seek any mechanical help, can I put the washing machine through a cleaning cycle of hot water to clean...

Hi from France,

Particularly if the water supply has a lot of calcium in it (hard water), it is necessary to 'clean' it out regularly.
This is done by buying anticalc powder sachets specificaly designed for washing machines (AND often the same stuff for dishwashers!).
If your machine is not new i.e. a few years old and has not hathe benifit of regular cleaning it will be well worthwhile spending some money on these sachets. What I have done with ours is to swith it off, put a couple of sachets into the drum and then pour in (from a kettle or similar) hot water to dissolve the powder. I have then left it overnight so that the heating element is well soaked and hopefully anti-calc'ed. Run a quick wash to flush it out. It will do no harm and hopefully improve its efficiency- IF the problem is due to poor heating and not something else.
I would start there.

Cheers,

My Keurig B70 has begun dispersing various amounts of water no matter what size cup is chosen

you will need to try the vinegar/water cleaning... 1/2 cup white vinegar to full tank water..run until empty..then redo, with clean tank of water....taste water when done, no bad taste
this has to be done on these machines at least once a year.....

Display on bord [service EC]

that could be caused by a freon leak in the evaporator coil, sometimes you can reset the board but if it comes back you know there's a problem,a clogged condenser coil or the condenser fan is bad but basically it's telling you it's running to warm, if you cleaned the coil and the fan is blowing strong most likely you have a leak in the sealed system usually the evaporator coil has to be replaced.i know this is to late you probably already fixed this problem would just like to tell you how i clean out the coil up top, unplug the machine with the quick disconnect up top or flip the breaker,i use a stinger shop vac,it's a small shop vac,i clean the front of coil with the brush attachment and then clean all the walls and wherever else i can get with the brush, then i put a towel up to cover the top just like the front grill does, set the vac to blow and blow through the coil, the towel keeps most of the dust inside when you blow it,do that a few times on the right side, after every time you blow it lift up the towel and vac up anything that blew out, then go to the fan side and do the same thing, also blow out the whole top cabinet too,any dust that's in the back or under the wire harness where you can't get will blow out and you can vac it up,then remove the towel and hit it a few more times, you can stick a flash light or drop light on the right side of coil and look through the fan side,if it's clear you're done.this should be done at least once a year,it could be the difference of having no problems with overheating, you'll save your compressor, the fan motor will last longer,if you don't do it and you cook a compressor you're looking at around a 2000 dollar repair, take a half hour once a year and clean out your coil.i have some old ones out there 25 to 30 years old,i go once a year to clean out peoples coils,it will add years to your machine, good luck with your subby.one ore thing that happens is the drain can clog, junk can get into the drain or the drain troft,if you find water dripping in the fridge section you'll know the drain is blocked, just a heads up.
