SOURCE: no sound and picture not full screen when connected to pc
if you have your tv connected to your pc with a vga cable, you will not get sound, since the vga does not carry sounds, only pictures. to change the settings on your pc to make full you will have to change your resolution size on your pc in your control panel

A lot of TVs only accept limite PC resolutions. Try 1028x768 60hz this normally works.
The Error message doesn't mean the TV or PC is not working, only that the signal is not compatible. try all resolutions until something works.

Make sure you have set the laptop's display properties to as low a resolution as possible (also make sure the screen refresh rate is 60 hertz) and turned it off before connecting it to the television. Turn the television on first and set to the correct input either hdmi 1 or 2. Then turn on the laptop. When it has booted up hold down the function key and the dual monitor key (either F5 or F8) for 15 seconds for an image to appear on the screen. When you have an image you can play around with increasing the laptop's resolution.

If your trying to use a computer with a video card that is not HDCP capable it will not work.You'll need to replace the video card that has hdcp .You can thank Hollywood for that.Hope that helps
