Hi,
Without knowing the model, I would say that the heater is working ok, but the fan is not.
This would cause the heater to overheat and trip the over-temp thermostat.
Check the fan motor for correct operation, and relace if defective.
hi there.......you havent stated whether this is a top laoder or front loading automatic...so im assuming its the latter.im also assuming that when you say everything else works you mean it takes water in heats.. pumps water out ....the problem is usually caused by a broken drive belt.....or worn brushes in the main drive motor....loose wiring connection to main motor....TOC blown in main motor
soloution replace broken drive belt......check brushes in main motor and relpace if badly worn......if the latter items are ok...relace or substitute main motor
if you can get you hand on a good use one try replacing the blower motor itself and it maybe the blower motor resistor assembly located on the passenger side under dash next to the blower motor it has two screws and a plug in the middle wish you the best of luck Michigan Man.
the hyrdra boost supplies pressure to these systems, that is done throught the power steering pump, the line or the pump is defective, I would replace both.
