Are you sure you have the correct extension number for the destination? I may be more than "not progammed correctly" - perhaps it isn't the ext# you think it is. Try Feature*0 then all the keys, especially the line keys, which should give you the extension number.

Hi. Hope you got it working fine now on your Windows 7. If not, go to Start Menu > Devices and Printers > right click on the Lexmark print object > Troubleshoot. Make sure the printer is on and is still connected to the computer via the usb cable.

The computer displays error "RPC Server is unavailable".
It may be that you have a static value in your registry's field PagedPoolSize, we need to make this "0" (zero). check the steps ->HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Memory Management

A couple things I would check that can cause this, all related to PC to Printer communication.

1. Cable problem: Printing locally with a non-bidirectional printer cable from LPT1.
2. Configuration Issue: Printing via IP and having designated in the device setup more trays then actually exist. For example, checking that you have a feeder when you have only the default tray.
3. Resource Conflict: Printing via IP when another device is using the same IP.
4. User Error: Having multiple copies of the same printer. i.e. 8500DN, and 8500DN(1) setting one up but having the other set as default.
