Completly remove speaker cover untill you can see the electronics. there will be a box with 6 setting screws. on the bottom row of screws , look for the screw with the letter r under it .  verry verry slowly turn that screw counter clock wise untill the picture clears up . good luck

Your red tube is weak or defective. If weak, gain can be adjusted up on the red tube.(cheapest cost) If red tube circuit is defective that will have to be fixed by a technician.(cost between $100 to $200) If tube is worn out, it will have to be replaced(250 to 500). Any work should be done by a qualified tech. Prices will vary depending on your area.
If set is over 5 years old, I recommend replacement.

I hve a sansung 48 v monitor. the screen is very much redish

CRTs use 3 "guns" to mix the 3 "primary" colours (RED, BLUE, GREEN). One of the other guns has stopped working, leaving the RED gun as the "dominant" colour.

Spend $30, and buy a pre-owned 15" LCD monitor.
Or, spend $100, and buy a new 17" LCD monitor.

Seeing red !

I had a television that went to a bright shade of blue.A friends neighbor worked for sony television plant where the new tubes came down the assembly line. His job was to make sure tubes were working fine,if one color was dominant then his job was to smack the front center of the tube with a rubber mallot to fix the problem. He suggested i try that with my tube while the set was on.It worked and solved my blue problem.Apparently he explained, the gun connections in the tube came loose and to fix it was to smack it this caused the connection to reweld itself. For you I would use the palm of an open hand and smack the tube dead center with a good hard smack.Dont be afraid of breaking the glass because its very thick and strong.Give this a try.Hope it helps.Good luck!

Sony Rear Projection TV - Red tube too strong

remove the front speaker assembly and the small access panel behind it and you will see a small square control assembly with 6 dials on it 3 control the color guns and 3 control the 3 gun focus. Try turning down the red control slightly they will be set up just like the CRTs red green and blue.

Removing green crt

More than likely you don't have to replace the CRT. Go to this blog for instructions for how to fix the most common problems.
http://www.somelifeblog.com/2007/06/sony-projection-tv-red-line-repair.html

At the bottom of the page there are comments from users. There are several users that explain how to take off the front panel and where things are located. The model KP57WV600 is different than the pictures in the blog, including the fact that the order of the red, green, and blue adjusters are different.

If you try it and it's not successful and you still want to try to replace the CRT yourself, google KP57WV600 service manual and you can buy it for $9.99 and download it right away.

I wish you well.
