You can adjust MTU from within the Belkin Router administrative console. You really should not be changing it unless your current ISP gives you a specific MTU setting, otherwise you could disrupt internet connectivity.
Default IP address: http://192.168.2.1
Default admin username: Administrator
Default admin password: <blank>
Be sure to set a password for your router!
This is the address where you change MTU

If you don't find a way to do this through the router, you could try downloading TCP Optimizer from Speedguide: http://www.speedguide.net/downloads.php
You can adjust MTU settings using this tool (select 'custom settings'). It affects the registry, so you'll want to backup & create a system restore point before setting it up.
SOURCE: I need to increase my MTU settings on my router for Xbox LIVE.
You can do that by configuring your router. Look for the default ip address of yoour router, it can be found in your router's manual. After you found it, run internet explorer and type in your ip address (ex. 192.168.10.1). There you o just enter your username and password and your on your way to the configuration process. Go to internet setup and under DHCP Internet Connection Type you can change MTU there. Just give it a try...

I have a Belkin router, and I could not find where to set the MTU. But I found a program you can use to set the MTU on your NIC adapter.
