I found a replacement battery at interstatebatteries.com. Search for DMU6-3, you'll find 6v 3ah SLA 187/250 Faston for $10.00

I found the battery on various web sites and the prices are ridiculous! It cost almost the same as buying a new light. You have to take the light apart to change the battery anyway, so I went to Radio Shack and picked-up a pack of 9v Battery Snap Connectors (less than $2), wired 3 9v batteries together and bingo.......the light works great! I tried C batery containers and D battery containers but they ended-up too heavy and too big plus the light was not as bright, so the 9v's were perfect.

Found replacement battery at batteryspec.com. Part # TR2.7-12, or TR2.6-12C. The first one is 2.7 AH, and the 2nd is 2.6 AH

Yes, I agree with Wylie Johnson. You should replace a new 9000 battery for youe drill. I found the capacity of your orignal battery is only 1.3Ah. You can get a 3Ah makita 9000 battery. It can last longer in your work.

I have a Vector 2,000,000 Power Series Spotlight and I need a new battery. The current battery is SEL sealed lead- acid. The number is DMU 3-12 12v 3AH. I have been unable to find this battery...
There is good news and bad news concerning a replacement battery for this particular model light.
The good news is that a suitable, but not exact, replacement will be available at Battery Mart on November 30, 2010.
The bad news is that it cost $29.95.

I purchased about a dozen of these lights in 2006 and have had them in storage since. No one can or will be more unhappy than I should all of them need new batteries.

I don't know where to get a replacement battery? It shows SEL CB4-6, (6V 4AH/20HR) on the battery itself?

Does the TR-2000 work with a vivitar 285? What cable do I need to buy?
TR 2000 gives two output ^ volt and 330 volts.
Whereas 285 HV uses 6 volt and 110 volt AC

I added 2 standard diodes in series (IN4001 type) and placed inside the dummy battery pack which reduces some voltage and safeguards against wrong polarity.

3.5"x1.5"x1.5" 6V3AH is a SEL DMU6-3 rechargeable lantern bought at home depot last year.
