Haier HLT364XXQ washing machine won't spin high speed

After noticing that a load was too wet to transfer to dryer I tried to run just the spin cycle to get the excess water out. The machine ended up running a full wash cycle and now it won't run through a hide speed spin cycle at all but the tub does rotate. When it rotates slowly it sounds like it is obstructed and I could smell a burning odor. I removed the front panel to inspect the belt and it looked fine. The original load was very large and heavy. Could this be an electrical or mechanical issue or both? I'm not sure what to check next and I'm a little baffled that the tub will rotate but not at high speed. If I hadn't just spent 50 buckets and several hours replacing a damaged drain pump two weeks ago, I'd probably just go buy another machine but I don't want to give up yet. Can you offer any advice? Thanks ac.

SOURCE: The Dryer is not rotating

Asad,

The other comment may be correct but I am not sure that you do not have a broken belt. If the motor is running...not trying to start and clicking off...the problem is the belt. The old one may be jamming the drum up.

SOURCE: Haier Genesis HLT364XXQ CAN'T GET HOT WATER WASH

hey Paul, you don't have to wash anything in hot water. Hot water only wastes money and does nothing, in my opinion, to get anything cleaner. It does ,however set the stains. To kill any thing the water has to be 212 degrees [ boiling ]I have not used hot water for over 40 years and our clothes are coming out clean. Just set the machine on cold. I put a twoway spigot on my cold tap and put the hot water and cold water together incase someone breaks in and does my laundry. Barry

SOURCE: Haier HLP21N washer won't fill. Water runs right through from the faucet to the drain hose.

Is the hose in the sink or on the floor? If in the sink, it sounds like the pump is running all the time. If the hose is too low, it maybe syphoning out the water as fast as its going in.

How can I reset a Haier Portable Washer? I have HLP24E. It shows UL (unbalanced load) after I choose Rinse&Spin or Spin, and never spins even the washer is empty..

Try it with a few clothes placed along the outer walls of the drum. It has a sensor that will try to balance the load before going up to full speed but if there are no clothes or weight in the drum, it won’t start.

WSM2480 Clothes Still Wet After Slow Spin Cycle

It's possible that the tub didn't drain properly in the allotted time and the remaining water is slowing your drum from coming to maximum extraction speed.

Haier xqg50 will not dry; It runs the full wash cycle, and will actually run the dry cycle, but the clothes come out comletely soaked. Ran the full 120 minute dry cycle three times, and the clothes were...

The clothes are wet after spinning When the clothes are wet at the end of a cycle, check these: Motor coupler Spin cycle Siphoning Water-inlet valve Motor coupler To test the motor coupler, re-start the washer in its spin cycle. Let the machine run for a minute, and then open the lid and notice whether the tub is spinning: If it's spinning when you lift the lid, the coupler is fine. If it isn't spinning--and your machine was produced by Whirlpool®--you may have a broken coupler. Many Whirlpool-made washers use a small, relatively inexpensive device called a motor coupling. This plastic-and-rubber component is mounted to the shaft of the motor on one side, and to the transmission on the other. Over time, the coupler wears out and fails. When that happens, you need to replace it completely. Spin cycle If the washer doesn't reach its proper spin speed, the clothes may be too wet at the end of a cycle. Check to be sure the load is properly balanced and run a spin cycle again. If the clothes are still wet, you may have a worn or loose belt (Maytag®), a worn clutch (GE®/Hotpoint®), or a worn motor pulley or tub bearing. Replace the applicable component. Alternatively, there could be clothes caught between the inner and outer tubs. Read the "It spins but won't pump" section of the "It won't drain" section. Also, there could be other things that cause friction on the drive train. Seek the assistance of a qualified appliance repair technician. Siphoning If the water that pumps from the machine goes right back into the machine after the spin cycle, it may be because your washer is siphoning the water from a laundry tub with a slow drain, back into the washer. Try to improve the draining of the laundry tub. (Is there something stuck in the drain?) Also, be sure the drain hose doesn't reach more than about 4 inches into the laundry tub. If it does, cut off the excess. Water-inlet valve Water-inlet valves eventually fail. One problem that may develop with a water-inlet valve is that it can no longer completely shut off when the electricity is turned off to it. Then, the valve may leak and drip water into the clothes tub--you may notice that your washer has water in it when you haven't used it for a few days. To fix this, replace the valve.

Your belt may be slipping and not spinning the drum to full speed to rid most of the water in clothes.

Dripping wet clothes

will be an UNBalanced load, maybe there was not enough clothes in the load so in that case the drum would not be able to distribute the load evenly so gave up on the spin, hence wet stuff!

Kenmore Elite HE3 44832

sounds like the drum is not revolving at all on the spin cycle Could be quite a No of things, ie belt off or broken, motor carbon brushes need replacing, timer fault, speed control module fault, or even a broken wire or loose connection somewhere etc etc.

Does it revolve on the WASH cycle? If so we can probably eliminate the above, in which case come back to me. Sorry no idea how much it will cost to fix. Have a look see what you find re above
