Could be one of several issues. MC won't hear if it has low water. Low water may be caused by scaled probe, no water supply or other flow problem. Could be that thermal fuses on element have blown and need replacing. Could be that heating element is burnt out. You will need to do some further basic diagnostics.

I would suggest descaling the unit, or replacing your thermostat.
A defective thermostat would not cut out the heater after the water is boiled, excessive scale would render the thermostat ineffective, but not to the extent you describe.

Hope this helps.

SOURCE: bunn cwtf15, water does not heat, ready light on all the time

There is an inline thermal fuse on the right side of the element, check to see, if it has resistance, if not replace.

SOURCE: Inave a Bunn VLPF coffee brewer, water is leaking

THe most likely answer is that the tube that leads to the sprayhead is clogged with lime. You will need to remove the spray head wich is located above the brew basket and make sure the holes are not clogged with lime. Use a wire brush to clear them. In the field I would use a deliming spring but you may need to go to a lowes or home depot to find a tool you can use to clear the tube wich is what the spray head screws onto or just goole deliming spring and try to order one off line. It is a long flecible very tightly wound dpring about 14 inches in length or so. www.midstaebeverage.com

I have a 6 gallon water ht. tank added to my rannai tankless water heater how does that 6 gallon tank work and does all the water from the runner have to flow thru that 6 gal wtr heater tank

A safety device known as a water heater expansion tank(sometimes called a thermal expansion tank) can help minimize the risk of pressure damage to the plumbing system. ... Since water expands when it is heated due to thermal expansion, the water heater creates extra water volume every time it heats water
tip

Expansion Water Tank Boiler Expansion Tank

d186d4f.jpgWhen water is heated the water will increase in volume. The thermal expansion tank in a boiler heating system is there to allow the extra volume of water some place to go. It also holds enough water to fill the void back up when the water cools.

The water expansion tank is a necessary item in heating systems. It also can cause problems if they do not work correctly. Some of the problems caused by a faulty expansion tank are:

  1. The boiler relief valve will be constantly dripping or blowing off if the tank is totally full of water and does not have the air cushion needed to counteract the increased volume of water as it is heated.
  2. Air can be introduced into the system if the tank does not hold sufficient volume of water to keep the system full as it cools.
  3. If fresh water is introduced into the system frequently the tank will rot out from the inside out.

One of the main things to remember is that a faulty boiler expansion tank can make other things like the relief valve look faulty when it reality it is not the problem. A bad expansion water tank or a bad pressure reducing valve can make the relief valve look bad. Or actually cause it to need replacement. Check everything out carefully before deciding what pieces need to be replaced. If go about just changing parts without a through investigation first you may be changing parts for a long time till you find the right one.

My water heater shuts down in cold weather. How do I fix this problem

Add tempering tank.
Tempering tank made from old tank-type water heater, or small tank heater will passively heat incoming water.
http://waterheatertimer.org/Tempering-tank.html

This works because tankless can only raise temperature so many degrees. If water is very cold, tankless cannot keep up, so the sensors shut down the unit.
Passively preheating water... or using a small tank connected to power can preheat water enough so tankless works.
Also delime tankless each year will help remove natural scale that builds up inside tankless heat exchanger.

Low boy water heater leaks at point where cold water pipe enters caseing. The leak is below the threads. The caseing is rusted at the point where the pipe goes through. Can this rusted place be patched or...

1) Your water heater needs to be replaced.
It cannot be repaired.
Tanks rust out after anode rod is depleted unless anode is inspected and replaced 1-3 years.
Water softener causes anode to deplete quicker, so inspect every 2 years.
Also stray household current can cause tank to rust out. Put bare copper ground wire between hot and cold pipes on new heater.

2) First thing is protect yourself from tank rupture where water heater bursts open and water runs until it's shut off. Ruptured tanks are big topic in homeowner insurance industry today because they cause major damage inside house.

- Turn off heat source so tank is not under pressure:
Gas: Rotate dial to pilot so pilot light stays lit, but burner does not turn on
Electric: turn off circuit breaker

- Turn off water going into tank using shut off above tank.
- Open hot side to bathtub to relieve pressure from tank.
- Check label on side of tank to get tank specifications for replacement.

3) What to do until replacement.
You can get by for a while on leaking tank by turning it ON only when needed.
Make sure tank is full of water before turning heat source back on.
This will buy time until replacement.
Electric tank heats 21 gallons water per hour.
Gas water heater 41 gallons per hour
Shower uses 6-9 gallons hot water, bath uses 12-15 gallon hot water.

4) Additional reading so next tank lasts longer

Heating elements do not operate together

That's how they work. First you need to know that cold water goes into the tank near the bottom (because of the "dip tube" inside the tank) and hot water is taken out at the top. Also hot water naturally rises.
so... when the tank is full of cold water the top element will come on and heat up the top 1/3 of the water then the bottom element will come on and finish heating the rest of the tank

My vokera linea 7 boiler is loosing water through over flow pipe while heating up to temperature

The pipe you call over flow. This would be the P/R valve and is set to relieve pressure in system. The first thing that needs to be checked - the expansion tank two types of tanks one would be what is know as a extrol tank, Most likey just hanging off pipe, it has air pressure on one side of rubber dia. and boiler water on other. The 2nd type is just a tank at ceiling height (most of the time). You would see a hose bib off the one end. Tank holds some water but must have air for boiler water to push into as it is heated. If you have the first tank it should be replaced. The 2nd type needs to be drained of all water. Shut off feed line to tank hook up short hose and drain into a bucket. if water stops you must break the vacuum raise hose above tank air should go into tank. repete draining till all water is out of tank. Some tanks have a way to open a valve to let air in as you drain if so use it. When all water is out of tank valve off everything (no air should leave tank) Open back up to system now you should have aplace for the water to expained to.

Water tank is suddenly filling up

look closely how the water flows from the evaporator to the tank. does it goes first to the condenser ?..or is there a heating pipe that is touching the tank in order to heat the water for it to evaporate?

here's the set up, your ac would cool and absorb moisture in the air and becomes water in the evaporator. these water is sometimes used to cool the compressor or the condenser to help it run cooler and at the same time evaporates the un-needed water . but incase the water is so much then you have the tank to keep the water from spilling. sometimes they still put some hot pipes to further heat the water to evaporate.

check those pointers that i have mention.

in some case, the air in your place just got humid and wet that is why it has too many water condensation..

It sounds like the tank isn't full. Unplug the machine and make sure there is a pot underneath to catch water. Pour clean water into the tank until it starts flowing out. Plug the machine in and let it heat up. Then try brewing coffee.

The way your machine works is that there is a holding tank for the water and it isn't actually brewing with the water you just poured in, it is using the holding tank water. If the holding tank gets low, and you pour water in all it does is fill the tank but nothing will come out.

Hope this helps.
