What cable usb or network cable

1087 1087 then 002 shut down using switch...

Download the latest drivers from the website . you may also check the network card.

Switch on your bonjour in the printer settings

Back to basics, have you tried a different power point and mains cable?
If still dead the this would indicate a blown fuse on the power supply or faulty on/off switch.

Have you tried to update the firmware on your router? Try that first.

The km 2050 was on network, but moved to home and directly into tower system via usb interface connector. Printer works, but can not get scanner to work? read instructions without a clue. can someone help with correct proceedure?

The 2050 uses 2 network connections, one for the printer and one for the scanner.
Before I go into any great detail,
Do you have a home network? Are you using a switch?
Are you printing through the network connection or the USB/parallel port?
Are you trying to twain scan? Do you have the software CD for scanning.
If not, you will need to download the drivers from the Kyocera web site.
