SOURCE: bike bogs for second then revs when throttling

Pull the slide out of the carb then remove the jet needle and move the clip one notch lower on the needle.

Quitting is a no-no. Move the needle clip down one notch and also remove and clean the carb if it has been dieing..

My 'wing won't run unless it has been warmed up some. I would suggest that you r&r your carbs to make sure the jets in the bottom are working correctly. They tend to get plugged up, especially after sitting & the aluminum flaking off inside... Rick

SOURCE: 2003 YZ250 engine coughs and sputters at high RPM

fuel carburetor problem! it causes most of the spluttering problems i have encountered with mine so far!
it could have blockage and insufficient gas enters on it during high revs!

SOURCE: 2004 Honda Shadow Aero stalls

There seems to be low gas level in the float chamber of the carburator.
Clean the carburator and check the float level and reset.
With the choke 'on' and if you hit the throttle it will die because there is a restriction of the air flow to the carburator.

Why does my poulan 2075 runs with choke on but not when i push the choke in?

Crank seals could be leaking air in,or carb settings incorrect.screw both mixture screws right in,then out 1.5 turns..set low mixture screw for highest idle, you may need to unscrew the idle screw a bit to keep revs down.adjust H mixture screw at full revs,to get max revs, then unscrew 1/4 turn.may need to reset idle

98chevy Cavalier -car has always started right up but car started running a lil rough, engine shaking, but not to bad was told it needs new plugs, few days later car cranks fine as usual and runs fine...

Chev Cavalier has had problems with the crank position sensor, mounted on the bell housing, where it picks up the crank position. Check it with a meter to see if it is OK, else the fuel injection system could be clogged (fuel filter is the main culprit).

When i start up my kawsaki kx 250 2stroke with the choke on it revs real high until i push it down is this normal

Yes.... try to turn the choke off as soon as possible after start, a cold motor reving hard is not a great idea!.

Cheers.

My br420c blower runs fine for about 20 seconds and then shuts off like the switch has been turned off

possibility 1) It sounds like it is sucking air with the gasoline. 2) don't rush the choke, leave it running on high with 1/2 choke. When you go to move the choke to off, move it very very slowly while the governor can catch up and raise the revs. Or slow the revs down before turning the choke off.

My cbr 600 f2 1993 had been sitting for a long time

Sounds like the carbs were not properly cleaned or set up. Choke should cause the cold start rpms to be higher than what you are experiencing. Application of choke to a warmed up engine will usually cause the engine to stall.

1985 dodge ramcharger, carburetor issues

Sounds like a problem I had with my '85 Dodge D150 Ram Prospector. In my case, the automatic choke was broken and it was starved for air during acceleration because the choke was always closed. It ran fine at idle or very slow acceleration. I wired the choke open and it runs much better, although it is much more difficult to start as the fuel mix is lean due to the extra air. Once it gets warmed up, though, it runs fine. I hear that the barrel carb on mine often has problems.

250yz revs high on idle or when clutch not engaged

Sounds like it is time to take the carb apart and clean or replace what needs replacing/cleaning.

1976 Gran Torino motorcraft 2150 2bbl carb. Starts and runs ok at high revs but as choke eases off and revs decrease, engine stalls. Fuel pump OK. Float levels and choke pull off OK. No obvious vacuum...

Are you sure your idle ports ( size of pinhole) in carb aren't plugged with something? What happens if it starts to die, and you give it a quick squirt of WD-40 , down throat of carb?
