Card boots but has several lines running down screen.(overheated while playing halo 2) I don't know if its possible to buy a warranty for xfx through this site. Also, how does this warranty work. Do i need to take the broken card to a specific place? or can i mail it in for repair?
Tried cleaning the card with iso-alcohol, checked for broken capacitors. Cpu is probably toasted.

Sounds like an overheated card but maybe it's just not inserted properly. Try to take the card out and insert it again with a bit more force. You will feel a click when the card is inserted properly. When I first inserted my xfx nvidia geforce 6200 agp I got proper image when booting but when windows was started I had a black screen. When I took another look at the card I saw the card was not properly inserted. A bit more force on the card and it said click. Now I have no problems.
check in your bios settings that the correct settings is enabled if its pci or agp, maybe its some thing like this. hope this helps. also remove your drivers before your take out the card to changed it with another card, by add remove programnmes in control panel.
Ensure your are running the monitors in dual mode still. Open your Nvidia Control Panel and click on "setup up multiple displays" Then on right panel you should see where to select your option on how to run the 2nd one. You might need a driver update from Nvidia, especially if you recently took an update from Microsoft.
Hope this helps
ps Here is the link to Nvidia: Click Me
Connect your monitor card into your origional monitor port. Boot to BIOS and disable the VGA port. Save and exit. After re-start, shut down and install the new AGP.
first try to use your video card to another PC which that video card suits the voltage requirement, and monitor requirement, if the result is still the same, try to return it to the store and buy a new one, and if the result is good, maybe it's time to upgrade your Power Supply, and your monitor.
Hi, if you have got the drivers for this v/card then load them while you have your present one in place, if you dont have the drivers then go to the manufacturers website and get them . when you have loaded the drivers then check if you need to enable any changes in your bios. Change the card and if it is functional then you should have solved your problem. A card that advanced needs drivers far greater than you would find in XP.
