According to the South Seas Spas Owner's Manual, the filter cycle begins 6 minutes after the spa is energized and the second filter cycle begins 12 hours later. The filter duration is programmable and can be set to 2, 4, 6, or 8 hours for continuous filtration (indicated by "FC"). The default filter time is 2 hours.
It's possible that your filter cycle duration is set to continuous filtration mode. To change the mode, press the "Warm" or "Cool" button and select a duration of 2 hours.
If this doesn't resolve the issue, it's recommended to contact a professional technician for further assistance.
press display on or (activate control) button first you should then be able to choose fridge or freezer and change set temp
after set will read actual temp 46 is a little high sounds like you have service issue
Is your spa overheating, heating up past 104 degrees?
If so, you have a contactor (or relay) stuck shut and the spa should go into OH at 108 degrees.

If your hot tub is only heating to 104 or what ever temp you have it set at and the motor runs 24 hours a day there are a couple of things you'll want to check.
First, make sure that you do not have the pump set to run 24 hours a day.
Second, you'll want to see if the pump icon is lit up on the control panel. You will want to check to see if the icon is on while the spa is supposed to be resting. During filter cycles the icon will be lit. If you are not in a filter cycle and the pump is on while the icon light is off, you have a stuck contactor (relay). The relays can be found online for less then a couple of dollars.
If you have any more questions feel free to ask.
If the heater is set to 104 then this is probally your Aqualink temp sensor. This is mounted in a pipe with a stanless steel clamp holding it in place. If you follow the wire back to the controler box it just unplugs and the new one goes right back in. Easy to do and the part is inexpensive.
I am sending you a link below to download the manual for your model. There are too many Q&A to do this here and on this page. The manual has some self diagnostic test you can do yourself through the control panel. These are very good refrigerators and they are backed by Maytag. The only problem is they are complex. You can try to find answers and if you have questions I will need to be contacted by email because Fixya has not been sending out anyones responses lately. They know about the problem.
