My grinder went from bad to worse and finally stopped grinding (with the motor still buzzing but absolutely no grinding). Knowing I had to do something or throw it away, I pulled the clear plastic bean reservoir upward and separated it from the grinder body. I looked down the hole where beans go down to the grinder and found packed coffee ground blocking the hole. I cleaned the whole thing, put the reservoir back, and my grinder now works like new :-)
Taking this thing apart is not easy. It may require a Torx bit, but it takes a 4 to 6" long extension. The second suggestion worked for me. I had used the bent handle of the spoon to try to loosen packed coffee deep inside the grinder with little success. Turning the machine over and rapping on it loosened a lot of partially ground beans and packed coffee. Works good now. Will do this regularily now

Your local hardware store sells kits with tamper resistant bits. Ace has them, too. There are two kinds of bits generally used Torx which is simply a 6 sided bit and tamper resistant which adds a button in the middle of the "star". I've seen both in this type of unit. Determine if you need the button style by looking at it. All turn counterclockwise to remove.
Oh...cafelover, take the unit apart by removing the burr assembly, cleaning it out and reassembling...that will likely cure your problem. If you want to do a bit more...simply turn the empty unit over a tap it on a newspaper covered surface.

My grinder slips from time to time (the motor turns with no grinding sound, and no ground coffee comes out). I want to open it up to see what the problem is, but don't know how to open it. I don't see any screw. Seems like they assembled it by snapping parts together.
If anyone knows how to unassemble it, please help.
