How to access boot option my boot option is disabled

I have never liked boot/startup menus for windows. I use to use them in DOS modes way back in the day but windows today, my opinion, does not need one. The only time would be if the computer is host to two different OS's.

My opinion is to not use it at all. I have my HP laptop's connected to my network by using the router and windows hooking it up.

Did the gateway come with the MBA installed?

Is there any option that allows you to disable the MBA menu?
[do not disable it until you have fully looked into the situation that doing that will not stop you from accessing your computer]

Access BIOS by pressing F2 during startup. Enable boot devices, make sure boot device order is correct.

You need to access the BIOS to disable the on-board video. Do you have Windows 7 installed or have you upgraded to Windows 8?

For Windows 7, turn off the computer and then turn it back on. After pressing your on switch press Delete repeatedly to access the BIOS. (Some computers use Tab or another key, you should see a screen indicating the correct key.) If Windows starts to load, try again. (I usually have to try 3-4 times to press the key at the correct time following the POST.)

For Windows 8, the boot sequence can be too fast to hit the key. Use the Advanced Restart option. Access the Charms menu and choose Settings > General > Advanced Startup. Alternatively, Charms > Settings > Power > press Shift and then select Restart. This should give you a Boot options menu and you'll be able to access the BIOS from that.

On my machine, I need the Advanced BIOS and then the System Agent Configuration. Then I select Initiate Graphics Adapter. Your BIOS may be slightly different. Go through your VGA graphics for disabling the on-board graphics and enabling the correct PCI/PCI-e graphics option.

Had the same problem with an ASUS. I entered BIOS (press ESC key as instructed) then disabled "fast boot" under BOOT tab section. You can also try pressing F9 key during start up to access other options.

open your bios, usually f2 or f8, look for boot manager or boot order, then change the boot order so cdrom or disk bay or however your bios refers to your cd drive is first, not sure what you mean by disabling the f12 option.....but changing boot order should fix your problem

After "Fast Boot" has been enabled, you cannot access the BIOS setup during power on . The machine will bypass "Press F2 to access Setup Utiltiy and F12 for Boot Menu" prompt.
This is a bigger issue if the hard drive crashes and access to Windows is not possible OR

Fast Boot can be enabled or disabled in the BIOS setup, or in HW Setup under Windows.
If you have Fast Boot enabled and you want to get into the BIOS setup. Hold down the F2 key, then power on. That will get you into the BIOS setup Utility.
You can disable the Fast Boot Option here. You will need to disable Fast Boot if you want to use the F12 / Boot menu.

There are two ways to disable the onboard video:

First Option:
When the machine boots up, watch for instructions such as "Press to enter setup, bios, configuration, ect." Within the BIOS setup should be an option to disable to onboard video. This can usually be found within an Integrated Chipset Features section or a Video section depending on your BIOS. Be careful though, messing with settings that you don't understand can affect your computer negatively.

Second Option:
Assuming you're disabling the onboard video because you have installed a video card, access the device manager by right-clicking "My Computer" and click Manage. Select the Device Manager on the navigation pane on the left, then expand the Display Adapters section. Right-click on your onboard graphics adapter and then click Disable and you're done!

You should not need to disable SATA as it is a way to interface with the hard drive. In the BIOS you can disable a hard drive to boot within the boot options.

ASUS netbooks have a Boot Booster which renders all activity obsolete, you need to disable the boot booster first.

First you need to access the BIOS/Setup Utility, on an ASUS machine/Motherboard you need to hit "Del" or "F2" not F9 at this stage.

Once in the Setup Utility, using your arrow keys navigate to the Boot options page. Using down arrow key navigate to Boot Booster option and hit Enter to disable. Once the option is disabled navigate to the last tab Exit, and using down arrow key to navigate to Exit and Save Changes.

Your laptop will then reboot and as soon as it does you may start to hit "F9" which will start the Factory Settings utility. You can then follow the on screen instructions to continue wit the resetting of your machine.
