Rc3 gps My watch gps doesn't connect

I've experienced a similar problem, but it has always sorted itself out by disconnecting and reconnecting the battery clips and giving the terminals on the watch a rub with a micro fibre duster. If that doesn't work, I would guess that battery needs replacement.

I had the same problem and this is how I fixed it: Unscrew all 8 screws and take off the back of the watch. Look for a small square connector that I think connects the square battery to the internals of the watch (its on the far side of the watch and is white).

Use something like needle nose pliers and carefully lift the square connector away from the internals - but only lift it out a mm or two.

Press one of the buttons that doesn't work. For me, all the buttons starting working and I carefully put the watch back together. I think the buttons are no longer aligned inside the watch and they aren't actually touching anything within the watch when you press them.

For me, this process realigned the buttons with the internals and the watch now works. Good Luck!

The TomTom GPS's use a USB cable that has a longer mini-USB connector on it's cable end.
The cables are available from any TomTom dealer.

This is a pretty common problem due to a design flaw in the 305 (although Garmin disagrees). There are open holes on the back of the watch for the speaker which allow sweat to corrode the speaker or material such as sunscreen to block the sound. You can attempt to clear these holes if they're blocked, but it's unlikely to help.
If your watch is still under warranty, call Garmin. As soon as you tell them about the loss of sound, they will arrange for you to exchange your watch for a refurbished one. When you receive your refurb, place tape over the holes to keep the gunk out (doesn't really impact the sound level).

This device if the manual is right uses an RS232 connection, what you are goiung to look for is a nine (9) pin connection it will look similar to your VGA connection on your computer. Do not connect the cable to your VGA connection, the nine pin connector will connect to the gps unit and the other end of the connector will connect or at least should connect to your computers com1 one connection or maybe the usb connection not sure. Should note that this unit has been dicontunued and the only manuals i could find were in Japanese which i don't speak, but that should be your connection.

I absolutely can't believe this worked for me, I'm so excited!! My error was RC3; my remote had an OK button (not Enter) for a Panasonic DVD/VHS recorder. I held down OK and the number 3 and the remote started working!! Thank you so much, I was getting very frustrated!
