SOURCE: wireless router connectivity WRT54GS

If you use cable connection, try power cycling the modem and router by turning off the modem and router and turning on the modem first and then the router. Though it is a very simple step it sloves most internet connection problems. If you are using DSL, check with your ISP if you are using PPPoE or just dynamic (it all depends on your modem). IF it is PPPoE, check to make sure your connection type is selected as PPPoE and put in your username and password from your ISP.

SOURCE: I have a netgear ds116 hub and i want to set up a linksys router

Here's what you can do. Don't connect the Linksys router yet to the hub. Connect 1 computer directly to the Linksys router. Access the router's setup page of the Linksys router thru http://192.168.1.1

It will prompt you for username and password. No username and password is admin.

Look for Local IP Address or LAN IP Address. Change the LAN or Local IP Address of the Linksys router to 192.168.5.1 then click on Save Settings at the bottom. Right after saving the settings, unplug the power of the Linksys router, connect it to the hub and it should be good to go.

SOURCE: BRIDGING MODEM AND ROUTER

If you connect the computer directly to the modem, does it work?
If that works then the modem is working.
Now connect the computer to the router and the modem to the router.
You will need to open the set up page of the router to check the settings of the router.
You can set up the router without the CD also.
It is very easy.

SOURCE: How to cennecting Aztech modem DSL600E with Router linksys WRT54G

First!
Do you have a connection in your modem?
if you do, you need to set up the linksys router in DHCP internet set up.
To have access to the linksys you need to go to:
http://192.168.1.1
The password it's admin
and the username in blank (no password)
change the internet setup to DHCP

Make sure you don't have the Same address for 192.168.1.1 or you modem cause if you do you'll need to change the ip address on the linksys router...

Locate WPS button on FWAG114

Thanks for posting to Fixya!

According to the manual I found at the following link;
http://downloadcenter.netgear.com/en/product/FWAG114

www.youtube.com/watch?v=8ffqvIoxcOc

WPS is not supported on this router. However, my suggestion would be to reset the WN2500 to default with the reset and start fresh, using the manual setup. You can find the help you need here;

I can not gem=t my WN2500RP to connect to my Netgear Router

To properly set up the WN3000RP you first have to push the WPS or Push 'N' Connect button on the router-WN2500RP(on the back of the router between the reset and the wired connection slots) and then the Push 'N' Connect button on the extender. It should negotiate and establish a connection between them.

I want to use my Linksys WRT54G as a bridge going thru Verizon FIOS 9100EM. What settings needs to be changed on the 9100?

You really don't need to change anything on the 9100 but with the router yes. And setting up the Linksys router depends on how the 9100 was configured. Just let me know if you still need more help.

DSL line disconnects on WRT54GS only

Try to change the LAN IP address of your router to 192.168.2.1 by accessing the router's Setup page. You also need to set your Westell modem to "full-bridge mode". You need to ask assistance from your ISP to bridge the modem. After that, set-up the Linksys router to PPPoE then power cycle it.
