Replacement Fuse I've disassemble the unit and traced the power through the power supply unit. Everything is fine up until the fuse which does fail an ohms test on the multimeter. I found the service manual which includes the schematic, however the fuse is not shown. This can be found here: http://elektrotanya.com/panasonic_rr930.pdf/download.html The only indication is "SOC 3A" on the fuse. I understand this is 3 amps, but what about the voltage? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

Just replace the fuse with an identical fuse .... and try to find out why it blew in the first place.

SOURCE: have a panasonic RR930 microcassette

If neither rewind nor backspace work, the common problem would be that the solenoid grease has dried up and the solenoid is not retracting all the way. However, the track that the mechanism moves in also wears out, as well as the plastic rocker that depresses the rewind button where it engages the metal slide.

If backspace works but not rewind from the pedal then the problem is the pedal.

Please tell me were the fuse is.

Hello,

The fuse can be located on the power supply board. To locate the power supply board, trace the microwave wire back into the microwave. The area where the microwave wire is soldered inside the TV is the power supply board. There is fuse on the board. So this means you have to disassemble the microwave....

Note that microwave store a lot of current, so unplug it and wait for about 30mins before your attempt disassembling it.

I have a Sharp VC-H982 VCR. Went to turn on today and it is not getting any power. Worked fine last night. I have moved the power cord to a different receptical, still nothing. Is there a fuse that may...

Hi:
If the unit is totally dead meaning no standbye light of or nothing on the display its dark, then you may of blown the AC line fuse. This is the first thing to check the fuse is inside the unit you can trace its location by taking off the top of the VCR and tracing the pwr cord to the point where it connects to the power supply, here is where you will find the AC line fuse use a ohm meter set on continunity to check the fuse for open condintion. If open or blown replace with same voltage and Amperage rating as indicated on the board or the fuse itself. If you find the fuse is good then you have a power supply standbye voltage missing and is related to the power supply. In which case it may be cheaper to just purchase another.

MDR515h/f7 Dead....Think it is fuse? How can I replace it? THANKS

You can replace the fuse (if the unit is not under any warranty) by carefully opening the top cover - the fuse is a small glass tube in the power supply (near where the cord connects) check its rating and voltage (the replacement MUST match the original). You should be able to reach this easily without further disassembly of the unit.

If replacing this inexpensive part does not restore any power to your unit, then you have a faulty/defective power supply circuit - this should really be tackled in a fully equipped workshop with adequate facilities by a qualified technician; it is not meant for end-users to repair when it fails due to the potential dangers involved. Experience suggests in many cases a dead unit is not just a blown fuse, but a switchmode power supply failure.

Try replacing the fuse first - then consider submitting unit to a service centre for a quote, then you can decide afterwards if it's economical/worthwhile repairing.

yup most probably that is the case.

you can locate the fuse usually it is placed near the main power supply or just trace the supply cord going in your unit. but before you open your unit be sure it is unplug to avoid electric shock.

slowly disassemble the unit and be sure that you can replace all the screws back to it original positions. after locating the fuse, check if it has a continuity and be sure to replace the same fuse rating. also investigate why the fuse had blown up and look for abnormalities.

if nothing found then replace the fuse and put all back then test the unit. if still it blows fuse, their must be something wrong with the unit and have it service to qualified personnel.

No power to the vcr

Probably not just a fuse but it is related to the power supply, which in newer VCRs is likely a switched mode supply but linear in older ones. Either one is a fairly cheap and easy fix for a competent and honest tech.
It is safe for you to open the unit and look for a fuse, most often located close to where the AC line comes in. However, some units may have the fuse soldered in rather than in a mounting clip that is easy to access for replacement. If you find the designation 'F1' near a soldered component, a soldering iron and some disassembly will be needed.
If a replacement fuse blows, it is fruitless to replace it again; you will require a technician then as that would indicate a failed semiconductor in the supply.

My wii console will not power on. have checked all plugs and everything is connected and outlet has power

HI. the power supply board has failed. There is a fuse(3amps) inside the power supply unit. you will need to remove the cover from the power supply to access this fuse. once inside the power supply, inspect the fuse. if it is truly blown, replace it. if the fuse is not blown, this will confirm a failed power supply unit. it should be replaced in this case...

Dell w4201c burning fuse...

hello, definitely if your fuses are blown and your not able to circut trace and find the fualty compnents on the pb then repalce it with a working power supply this may help but also keep in mind you may want to check everything out first get your models service manual so you can verify voltages at test points. something is cuasing the fuses to blow so if you do change the power board and you blow the fuses again then you will need to trace the circut and find out where the short is and what panel or part is cuasing it .

hope this helps

Theres most likly an open ground printed circuit trace on the Printed circuit board on the bottom. first clue is You said your girlfriend disconncted and blew the fuse. You gonna have to ytake the amp apart and totally disassemble the PCB off the rails and everything unless theres a bottom cover. It may be an obvious burn or could be hidding under the green paint of a trace?? Goos luck
